  1. Dave - Yours looks just like mine, which is a DeeZee. It is shown in their brochure here: Documentation/Literature/Misc Literature/DeeZee/DEEZEE CAB ORGANIZER BROCHURE.
  2. I agree with Dane - that's a LOT of work! I can't comment about the coolant. Just don't know. But I do like the idea of petcocks on the block. And I shouldn't comment about the carb, but agree with Jim that it doesn't seem right to open the secondaries to get the thing to idle correctly. However, if that works.... But I certainly can comment on the power circuits and the fuse block. WORK! I thought about populating the rest of it, but figured I could get by with the three circuits I added. However, I like what you did.
  3. Yep, only in Springfield, just up the road from Branson. That Quilt Sampler was the mother store for a few others that opened, including in Tulsa. Janey spent a lot of time in that one, but it closed a year or so ago. However, the Springfield one was always better. And I got hooked on Grizzly when I had the 3N1 lathe/mill/drill that does everything but nothing very well. Mine was from HF but they are all of the same heritage as they all had the same error in the parts illustration. When I needed a part that didn't exist due to the error HF couldn't help me. But the gentleman at Grizzly was appalled that they'd never caught that error before and took a machine apart to see what the part was. Sold me three of them for $2 each. Now that is customer support!
  4. Having done it fairly recently I can confirm that it is a pain. I used ratchet straps to slowly bring the tank and skid plates up together. That gave me a little bit of room to work to get the fuel filler aligned and the fuel and vent lines on the tank. But it is close, and not something I want to do again. Others have said it is easier to raise the bed and do the work that way. But that assumes that your bed bolts come off nicely and that you don't have a big tool box in the tank - like I do. However, if I have to do it again I'll consider that as it certainly was a pain.
  5. On the BW1345 it doesn't call for RTV on the rear splines but does on the front splines. But I missed that step in front and had a leak. So I pulled the yoke, cleaned, and RTV'd the splines and that stopped the leak. Then when I discovered I'd not torqued the rear properly I RTV'd those as well, even though I'd not had a leak.
  6. Yes, I'd say you are right - it is rubbish. Fluid Film is supposed to be pretty good at keeping rust at bay, so hopefully it will solve the problem with the rest of the metal. What's the delivery time for something like a fuel tank to the north of Norway?
  7. Good job on the window sticker. And that's a cool caddy! Even with a Ford part number. Here it is in the 1986 accessories brochure:
  8. Yes, that is a cool story, Ryan! Even though it has sadness in it. But it is great that you are dedicated to the truck. A real tribute to your grandfather. So, where in KS were you? I'm from Ark City, right on the line south of Wichita.
  9. Yes, clean the splines very well, coat them with RTV. Put some on the yoke’s splines, and slide them together.
  10. Dane - I think you were getting air pockets around the sending units. They really need to be in the flowing stream rather than in branches off the stream. I have one sending unit in the Bullnose factory position and one in the EFI intake, probably where the EFI sending unit goes, come to think of it.
  11. You are now on the map. It is interesting to see where Google put you - really close to where my wife and I frequently hang out at Quilt Sampler and Grizzly.
  12. Major step! Looking so much more complete.
  13. It does look good! But lets put it on here so others can see.
  14. And now it is included on the Transfer Case page.
  15. Clay - Good question. And one for which there was no answer in our documentation. But there will be in a bit. In the interim here's the info. And since your t-case is probably an E1 the part number for the seal is surely E1TZ 7B215-A. Right?
  16. It should just slip off, but might have been RTV'd on. Needs to be torqued to spec when installing.
  17. Clay - I learned the hard way on Big Blue to coat the splines of the yoke with RTV before installing it. So you could have one or three problems: a bad seal; a yoke with a groove; or just a leak via the splines.
  18. You might check out this post. We did a lot of work on David's truck and documented it.
  19. Welcome! Glad you joined. Nice truck. Happy someone is taking care of it. Where's home? I ask because we have a map (Bullnose Forum/Member's Map in the menu) and we could add you with a city/state or zip.
