  1. I invested several tons of money in Big Blue and then drove him to Colorado and back to go offroading. Oh yes, and won Best Upgrades in some obscure truck show before going.
  2. Heinz - I got an email that you'd posted "Hello again, This drives me crazy now. The problem still occurs." But I can't find the post. Did you delete it? Did you find the problem?
  3. Well, it has been over two weeks since I posted! Wow! But we've driven ~3000 miles in that time to go to Michigan to see the trees turning, visit Mackinac Island, etc. Good trip, but glad to be home. And, we got home just in time as this came in today from BBK. May need to put it on Big Blue at some point.
  4. Bummer! Several problems. Those shoes aren't O'Reilly's house brand are they? Jonathan had chunks fall off of his. Hope you get it going with the Particus bits.
  5. Glad you got the truck on the road! Well done, it looks great. And those are cool projects. While what brings us together is Bullnose trucks, many of us have other interests as well, so feel free to start a thread on one or both of those projects.
  6. You are now on the map. And I included your pics, but you'll have to learn how to do that. There are instructions on the page at Bullnose Forum/Forum FAQ's that include how to post pics. But I just copied the links you posted, clicked Insert Image, and pasted those links into the "Or copy an image from the Internet:" blank - making sure to wipe out the http:// that is already there. But your pics are larger than 1MB each, so I clicked the Big button in resizing. However I didn't fix your interior shot. You turned the camera to take that pic, and while cameras encode the orientation in the metadata in the picture's file, our forum doesn't read that data. So you have to open your file in some app and properly orient it. I use Photoshop Express but there are free ones that work just fine.
  7. Thanks, guys. It has taken a lot of behind-the-scenes work to get us where we are with the AWS servers, and I certainly appreciate all that have been involved. I couldn't have done any of it w/o the others. As for costs, yes they are starting to mount up. Every time we've turned a corner we've found another expense. But I didn't want to say anything until we knew what they are and that it is going to work. Pretty sure it is going to work, but don't yet have a handle on the https certificate cost so we don't quite know the total cost. When I do I'll check with my banker (Janey) and see if we need help. Thanks!
  8. I've not heard of that pump, Cory. But their statement about it makes it very interesting: As for the pressures and flows, the snippet below is from the FSM section on the page at Documentation/Suspension & Steering/Steering/General Steering Service, and they seem to confirm what you found on FTE. But you can't really say the pressure is lower. All you can say from the spec's is that the Sag's max pressure is slightly lower. The two pumps are just spec'd at different pressures and we don't know what the CII would do at 620 psi nor the Sag at 740 psi. Concerning the popularity of the Sag, I'm running one on Big Blue and will be on Dad's truck. I like the quietness of the pump. And I like the fact that it won't puke fluid all over the engine compartment if I turn the wheels side/side with the engine off.
  9. I think that cab is from a pre-83 truck so it would have had a mechanical clutch linkage. Which is why there aren't holes for the hydraulic clutch master cylinder in the firewall. And it was probably a 3-on-the-tree and someone put a floor shift in, which is why you have the small hole in the tranny hump. I would want to put a firewall brace on it before installing the pedal assembly. The firewall wasn't designed for the hydraulic mechanism and many of them cracked, which is why Ford came out with the brace. You can read about that on the Clutch Linkage tab on the page at Documenation/Driveline/Clutches & Linkage. As for "sitting on the rails", I forgot what you do. Given that you may like the picture I saw yesterday in a Holiday Inn Express in St Joe, MO:
  10. Well done, Bill! It is coming together nicely. And you are paying good attention to the little details.
  11. Correct for: 81/83 F250/350 -- 4 x 2, 300,302 81/83 F150/250, U150 --4x4 83 F150/350, U150 - - 351W eng. over 8500 GVW 83 F250/350 — 300 eng., over 8500 GVW
  12. Glad you are making progress. But what is this about sitting on the rails in Houston?
