  1. If you don’t have that flame arrester then you should seriously consider the combo. Two birds/one big bill.
  2. $7500??? Maybe I'm remembering a few years ago, but I don't think that truck is worth more than $5K. What is a "deodorized gas tank"? Its only been driven twice in the last 8 years and hasn't been driven faster than 10 MPH then? There could, and probably will, be lots of things wrong with it that will show up when it is driven. A daily or frequently driven truck usually has the kinks worked out. But one like this will be full of kinks that will make you cry as you peel the onion.
  3. Yikes! Those are extremely high taxes! No wonder people are buying electric vehicles if they don't have the same taxes. As for the wind, as low as that is compared to sea level it is understandable that the wind would come right on through. So you hid Eddie behind the bush? But something like 900 RPM on that truck at 50 MPH? That is LOW! Hard to believe it would have the power to pull at that speed.
  4. Is this the one you need? "1980/" means 1980 to the end of the catalog, which was 1989.
  5. Yes, welcome! Glad you joined. As Jim said, we have a map (Bullnose Forum/Member's Map in the menu) and we can add you with a city/state or zip. On the pictures, this forum's software is antiquated (just like I am) and you have to orient the pics correctly before posting. You can read a bit on that on the page at Bullnose Forum/Forum FAQ's.
  6. Coverage will have to wait. John/Machspeed took all the pictures. Steve/Foxford33 did Facebook Live, so I need to get links to those, and Jeff/Big Brother took drone videos which he will send me. But I can say we had a wonderful day. A bit of rain in the morning appears to have kept some people away, but we had 18 trucks - of which 10 were Bullnose. By far the best Bullnose turnout we've had, and many of those were from the forum, or at least in one case supposedly will be. But hopefully I'll get the list of participants and winners posted soon. Lots of forum members took home trophies.
  7. I've had my shower and am sitting with my feet up trying to catch up.
  8. You have to remove the red "keeper" to allow removal of the pins. Then you'll be able to see a tab that protrudes out of each pin that keeps the pin from coming out the back. If you insert a very slender tool from the front to push that tab in then the pin will come out.
  9. Good point, Scott. I'll pass that on. (See you soon - after The Gathering Place)
  10. The page at Documetation/Driveline/4WD Front Hubs & Rotors says all Broncos use Parts List 5. And that says all of them use D6TZ 1111-A rotors, regardless of what hubs are used. So yes, you should be able to use those rotors. Having said that, I don't understand why they'd say they are for auto-locking hubs. Maybe you should ask them?
  11. I like that, Bill. Hope it works!
  12. Tomorrow night we are going to have a Zoom meeting in which y'all can participate. It will start at 6 PM CDT and go to 6:40, which is the longest I can run a meeting. So if there's more interest we will start another meeting a that time and post the link here. Speaking of link, here 'tis: https://us05web.zoom.us/j/84786754983?pwd=DwIasvGODIPJy9HEQcob9xsQBRwl91.1 The meeting ID is: 847 8675 4983 And the passcode is: 8Ly09R You may be able to join early, so give it a shot. We'll be having Mac's BBQ so don't mind our munching.
  13. Bill - I rescued this yellow-grommet module from the stuff going to the show. Seriously doubt anyone would buy it, even for a buck which is what we'd be asking, so it would get tossed at the end of the day. As you can see, two of its connectors are broken and being a yellow-belly no one wants it. It is now with the other stuff coming to you - some day.
  14. Thanks for catching that, David. That's a guy that has a Nabble forum and is having some problems. But I didn't realize he'd posted here. Gesvilsur - Were you just testing? Can we delete this?
  15. Saw these on FB today and thought y'all might be interested: Meeks Machine & Fabrication. Email is Meeksmachinefab@gmail.com.
  16. Yeah, the second half of Potash Road was where it got really long, after the best views were gone, but before the rough road was done. My Bronco is actually sprung pretty stiff too (not 1-ton truck stiff, but it's not soft). It hadn't seemed worth it to air down for just 10 miles of dirt road, but in hind sight I should have. I'm glad you thought it was worth it! I haven't taken highway 50. I might have to some day! But even I-70 is a pretty nice drive from Denver to west of Glenwood Springs! As said, I hope to do Moab in Big Blue sometime. And y'all are adding fuel to my fire. Hw 50 goes along the Arkansas River in a very deep canyon. It is really a neat drive and you know, for sure, you are in the Rockies as there's nothing but rock to see.
  17. Hard to tell from the pics, but I'll take your word for it. And yes, getting the pads extra hot can cause problems, not only with the pads but with the rotors, causing them to warp - which gives a pulsing feel to the pedal. But those pads may work until you can get the larger brakes?
  18. Hw 50 would have been my recommendation. Well done! I've not been to Boiling Spring State Park, but have heard and read good things about it. And that is only ~200 miles from us. However, along the way you might want to take a side trip to Little Sahara state park. This Google map takes you there and then right on to the Church of Christ building in Skiatook. I'll be headed there as of 4 PM tomorrow, although I have to stop and pick up dinner so it might be more like 4:15 before I get there since Skiatook is such a big place. But if you get to town earlier than that give me a call.
  19. What road are you taking through Colorado?
  20. I think that, if my wife didn't "insist" to get down the Shafer Pass, we would have missed a wonderfull trip buy not seeing the Potash Trail. To tell the thruth, it was far from confortable. Big Bro acts as the ancient horses stagecoachs, with springs under straight shafts... and we were missing the springs under our seats. . I could tell you about each little rock and bump of Potash Trail. I would say that half of the road is interesting (the first part living bottom Shafer Pass), but the second half is not so special. But the first part largely compensates the second one. So, if your question is about the trail itself, I would say it has some nice spots but isn't so special. You do it for the views, not for the trail. But in my opinion, not going down and looking at the canyon only by the top is missing half of the show. I can imagine how rough that was. You are probably sprung much the same way Big Blue was originally, and those leaf springs coupled with TTBs make for a rough ride. Plus, you don't have on-board air with which to reinflate the tires so you couldn't air down. OUCH! But, the view was worth the climb/descent!
  21. I would have thought that a carb for a 475 would be too rich for a 302. But maybe that's not the case? And, for what its worth, a buddy of mine had a Cobalt with a 302 in it back in the 70's. It had a 2bbl intake and carb on it and we put an Edelbrock intake and 4bbl on it without much difference. Yes, it had a little bit more on top end, but not much. And there was no discernable difference coming out of the hole.
  22. Bill - Specifically a 475 or 477.
