  1. Jim is right. But there are instructions on loading pics on the Bullnose Forum/Bullnose FAQ's page in the menu. And the limit is 1Mb not 5Mb.
  2. Hank - Welcome! Mid Missouri? As in Rolla? Or? We have a member's map (Bullnose Forum/Member's Map in the menu) and I'd be happy to add you if you'd give me a town. 77 huh? I'm 72 and a couple of others are a bit older, but you may be our eldest statesman. Sounds like a nice truck, but we are partial to pictures, so if you have some please share them. (How to post pics is explained on the Bullnose Forum/Forum FAQ's page.) But you'll also want to start a thread in the main section about your truck. There you can detail what you do, ask questions and get advice as well as encouragement, etc. On the fuse block, you said: Do you mean the entire fuse block? And, the wires should come in from the back, not the front. Can you post a pic of what you have? If it is as burned as I think you are saying you may have to replace the fuse block itself. I don't know how easy that is to do, but maybe someone else does.
  3. That's disturbed/disturbing. But, I liked the bullnose.
  4. Should have the generic part number in the diagram, and then there should be the specific part numbers with prefix and suffix in the Part Numbers list.
  5. Done. But I should have made sure Matthew wanted it there as it is his thread and posts.
  6. Exactly. You see why I don't have great confidence in them? And maybe the proportioning valve was replaced, and that's why it doesn't happen anymore. There's really no way to know - that was about six years into the 14-year stretch where the truck was barely driven, and there's no telling what else was done or not done in that time.I'm reminded of a '55 Chevy truck Dad bought. Ran GREAT, but stopped really poorly. He pulled the rear drums to find them packed full of grease. Not axle lube, but grease! The parking brake cables didn't connect to anything, and most of the hardware that was supposed to be in there wasn't there, so apparently someone put it back together and packed it with grease so it wouldn't rattle. For me, I like knowing it was done right. And w/o knowing I worry. For instance, there's been a noise in the front end of Big Blue that I think is tires. But, what if it isn't? So I am really liking the idea that the whole front axle will be new when I'm done and I'll have peace of mind that if there is still a noise it is just tires.
  7. Looking at it this morning, everything has set up and the metal plate feels like it's locked in place nice and strong. I'll be at my parents' place at the lake tomorrow, and when I return Sunday I'll pop this back in. If I can get it seated in the door panel without any of the bonds breaking, I think this will be good for years. You should be good to go. The JBW should have bonded well to itself and probably has a tight grip on the plastic. đź‘Ť
  8. I like it, and can get past the “no motor or trans”, but the “no title” bit would put me off.
  9. My work to revive the linkage on Dad's truck is chronicled in the ZF5 Swap thread starting about with this post. As for the map, you are now officially on it. And, on the parts, I've just realized that the web page linked to above did not have the illustration for a fixed wheel column with floor shift. It does now and I've included it below. But, that changes the numbers of the parts you are missing. So, please try again from this drawing:
  10. That and the warranty issue were why I liked the BBR approach to Miatas. Granted, that was a single turbo with minimal boost, but it allowed the stock tranny and diff to live. To go with a V8 they obviously had to change out the tranny and usually the rear axle. But the 3.5L Ecoboost has proven to me that twin turbos can spool quickly and provide serious power w/o the weight of a V8. So that approach might also allow the stock tranny and diff to live. And, it would maintain the balance that the creators worked hard to achieve. EDIT: I used to stuff my Miata into corner and experience a true 4-wheel drift. It was FUN. And I could follow M3's and motorcycles quite well, although both left me on the straights. I loved the balance.
  11. I've never had one of those trannies either. But perhaps his clutch isn't fully releasing. Does first have synchros? Reverse doesn't, but second and third do. A worn out manual linkage, or one that hasn't been properly adjusted, can easily drag even when the pedal is on the floor. That would cause shifting difficulties, and a gear with synchros would feel/shift differently than one w/o.
  12. I agree on losing those, and I don't remember anyone complaining after I suggested it. Last call, y'all! As for the poop, I didn't know if Matthew was serious or not. Let's see what he says. Or others for that matter. Having said that, I worry that it is not in keeping. However, maybe if it is called "Poop"? Is this what y'all envisioned? đź’©
  13. I actually thought "I read what kind of shift linkage he has somewhere" and went back and re-read the post several times. But didn't look at the sig. As for autism, you certainly seem to be able to remember things and see the details.
  14. No, they wouldn't be in keeping. As for the Ford logo, if you think we need one then point one out that you like. It doesn't have to be itty bitty as I can resize it. But, like I learned from the Bronson clip and the ROTFL animation I had on, it does have to be recognizable when reduced to smiley size. Also, it can't be a big clip. I found a Friends slow-clapping clip but it was way more then 1mb and I couldn't put it on here. Once we get what we think is the full set of smileys then I can do some re-ordering so we get like ones near each other. But for now let's just keep tacking them on.
  15. You are right, so I've changed that post as shown below: It certainly helps to have things worded correctly, so thanks for that. As for moving things, it had bugged me that when doing so the titles in the email notifications were then off. But this change fixes that, assuming no one responds to the moved posts themselves or at least edits the titles thereof when doing so
  16. Good suggestion. It was "wink2". I put it in place of the FORD emblem at the center bottom. Haven't seen anyone use the emblem and I don't particularly like it: But, if someone thinks we need a Ford emblem please say so. And, please point out one you like. Keep those ideas coming in folks! This is OUR forum, so let's make it like we want it - at least as much as we can.
  17. Trust me, this has frustrated me for the whole time we've had this forum. So when two of the biggest users complain I really need to pay attention. Given that, here's what I posted in a new post on the Nabble Support forum: And, I moved these comments to this thread. But I think I learned something in yesterday's and today's moves - I need to edit the subject of my first response to moved posts as they carry with them the old thread's title, not the new thread's title. However, if I respond to the last post in that chain and change the title of my response to the title of the new thread, and subsequent responses will have the right title.
  18. Guys - I agree that what we have is a pain. I frequently have to open multiple tabs to get one response done. I've just gone back to FTE and find that a Quick Response is done via the edit window at the bottom of a thread, and Advanced takes you to an edit window at the top, but in either case you can still scroll through all of the previous responses. And I've lost many a response as well. Perhaps I hit the X when going back to a tab. Or I hit a link and went elsewhere. But, it is FRUSTRATING!!!! I'll go to the Nabble Forum and see if they have any suggestions. But, Nabble itself is supposed to be replaced in the future, and my guess is that they aren't making any significant changes at the moment. However, it is remotely possible I can do something via macros, but I seriously doubt that. In any event, I'll see what I can do.
  19. I'm sure you were joking, but I thought the JBW idea was to fill the hollows in order to have more surface area to grab with double-stick tape or silicone. No?
  20. It isn't garbled for me. As for not using it, my bad. Maybe I missed the 2G? Old age? ??? Anyway, here 'tis again, just in case:
  21. ... and especially the tops of the rear spring mounts! Mud and salt get thrown up there and Ford never provided a drain hole. I say this because I have one sitting in a box, waiting to be done. Welcome! Glad you found us. Where's home? We have a member's map (Bullnose Forum/Member's Map in the menu) and I'd love to add you. Who knows, you may be close to one of us and we can help. Jim and Cory have already given good suggestions, as they always do, but I'll add that the steering column is a pain to work on. And, there were several different columns as there was a fixed and tilt column as well as a floor shift and column shift. So the first thing to determine which column you have. Is the slot in the column where the turn signal goes in rectangular or a tee? That corresponds to fixed or tilt. Then, I assume you have a floor shift. Right? That, coupled with the answer to Cory's question of which transmission, will help as well. And, what parts are broken? Go here to the illustrations to figure that out: Interior/Steering Columns.
  22. Jim - The Electrical/1986 EVTM/Charge & Power Distribution Gasoline Engines has this one:
