They look good to me, but let's see what other have to say. -
Some anecdotal notes on the 300 HD manifold

Yes, thanks! -
Dane - Please try it again. I may have learned something. I had the width set to 100% of screen size, which worked perfectly on my Windows devices. But, on Janey's iPad Pro and my iPhone X absolutely nothing came up. Zip. Nada. So I changed the width to 95% and magically it now works some of the time on both devices. It comes up initially, but if I try to do much with it, like scrolling around, it goes away until I refresh the screen. Then it usually comes back, but not always. But, I'd like your observations, please. Something's not right, but I don't want to go tilting at windmills until I have more input.

Yeah, those are some of the words I hope not to see on here. I prefer to remember him by some of his quotes: “Have you ever noticed that anybody driving slower than you is an idiot, and anyone going faster than you is a maniac?” “Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that.” “Some people see the glass half full. Others see it half empty. I see a glass that's twice as big as it needs to be.“ -

Autolite 4100 Evaporative Emissions Experiment
Gary Lewis replied to LARIAT 85's topic in Bullnose Enthusiasts Forum
I agree, whole heartedly. There are complicated things going on that I don't understand, for sure. Like, are the diameters of the vents, or their heights significant? Do the vents just end straight down, or do they turn? Is there an orifice at the end of the vent and how big is it? Why is the external vent tiny? The carbs appear to be tuned for the answers to those questions, and many more besides. And you just happened to change something that makes a noticeable difference. -

Good points, Rick. Maybe we need a "Ford Goofs" page where we catch the little things, like those visors. Anyway, here are the covers of the two brochures, side by side so everyone can see the very few differences: -
Dane - Put your cursor in the window of the article when you scroll. Then you are scrolling the article and not the web page. Put your cursor outside of that and you'll scroll the web page. Steve - I've seen it several times over the years, and even downloaded it. But it took me a while to find it where I'd saved it, so thought I'd share it here so all could see and I could find it. Yes, it does debunk several things. For instance: Inlet Air Temp: The best power and MPG was achieved with a K&N air cleaner element in the stock box and the whole inlet air system wrapped with insulating tape. Using a K&N open air cleaner element sucking hot air actually hurt MPG compared to stock. Overdrive: A Gear Vendors OD behind the C6 improved highway MPG by 18%. Exhaust: They saw a 2% increase in MPG as well an increase in power and decrease in elapsed time on acceleration with headers. But I get lost in exactly what system did best, although at one point they say a single exhaust pipe does better than duals. Anyway, and intriguing write up.

That's a very nice truck. And, with the AOD it should be a 302. Would be great for cruising. Decent MPG. Nice tool box, but don't like the headache rack. -

Now, THAT'S a different story. Where I come from you are supposed to be able to say anything you want about a person if you include that phrase. -

Yes, there should be bolts. Without them it is going to really shake. -

Website Revision - Potential New Home Page
Gary Lewis replied to Gary Lewis's topic in Bullnose Enthusiasts Forum
Thanks. It is always interesting to see how others do it. But our forum provider, Nabble, doesn't provide the ability to do what they are doing on that site. At least not when you first go to our forum. However, you can then click one link, Topics View, and that will take you to a chronological list of all posts, starting with the latest one. Anyway, thanks again. -
Today I was talking with Scotty The Mad Porter and he suggested that I take the "silencers" out of Big Blue's to-be air intake system. I thought "I've heard of doing that, but where was that?" So I did some searching and found it - a magazine article called Project MPG. I'd found a copy of this online some time ago and downloaded it then, and after skimming it again decided y'all might enjoy reading it. Here 'tis: EDIT: There appears to be a problem with iOS devices seeing this file. So if you are having trouble you can download it here or read it on the Four Wheeler site.

Just the left side? Why not both?

When I bought the D60 with 4.10's I thought about going to them all the way around. But the math just didn't work. Even with the ZF's overdrive it was still going to be turning too many R's on the highway. And, the 3.55's work nicely for towing in 4th. I like them.

In spite of what others have said, I've heard and read good things about East Coast Gears. I'll have to check to see what was put in the front of the D60, but at one point he was going to use Nitro gears. However, my nephew said to stay away from them as one set he get were not finished well.

Shaun - Hope you can pull the trucks out. But, better yet that you don't have any damage. If the track goes to the south it'll get our son down in the West Palm area. -
Oh no! I'm sure it'll buff out. NOT! So, what's the plan, Stan?
