  1. I think you’ve confirmed my thinking - it is messed UP! Sure glad my brain kicked in and I questioned things. 😳 Eating lunch now and then I’m headed out with jack stands and an impact to retrieve MY wheels and tires from Bruno’s to-be 44HD front clip. ✅
  2. Mid-day plea for help! The 1995 FSM says to tighten the caliper guide pins to 85-100 lb-ft, as shown on the page below. But, those are 10.9 M8 x 1.25's and most of what I find for torque values for those bolts is ~25 lb-ft. So I look further and at the end of that chapter it says "Front disc brake caliper to spindle bolts: 22 - 26 lb-ft". Given that I've torqued them to 25 lb-ft. What am I missing?
  3. Yup. But we got it figured out. Probably ought to update the EVTM's. Just added that to the ever-growing list of things in the Forum & Website Upgrades spreadsheet.
  4. Was just looking for something else and ran across this, which is the jumper to add a 2nd horn to a Bullnose truck. The male connector plugs into the dark blue (DB, Scott ) cable and then the female connectors go to the horns. So, the EVTM is wrong as it shows that jumper to be DB.
  5. They probably thought Janey was your daughter!
  6. The very first time I was offered "senior discount" for my coffee, I was offended. Now, I just say, "thank you!" I remember eating at Taco Bell in about 2007 when I was about 60. Paid and got to the table and looked at the bill. Sure enough, we'd been given a senior discount. That didn't bother me, but it did my date.
  7. Sorry for the late response. But I'm not up to speed on those codes and am confused. So, how's it driving? And have you run the scan again? If so, what codes did you get?
  8. As said on that post, that pad is from a van and not a pickup. However it should work just fine. But the grain of the "wood" is different.
  9. That's from a van, not a pickup or Bronco, but it will work. The difference is the wood grain. The vans had an oak look where the pickups had Rosewood from '80 through '84 and burled wood for '85 an '6.
  10. Good luck! And keep us posted. We are here to help.
  11. Just fyi, the 240 is the little brother to the fabled 300. The latter is a true truck engine - lots of torque at low RPM. I wouldn't hesitate to put a 300 in a truck, but I'm not sure I'd put a 240 in.

Wish I had found some... There are aftermarket ones on Ebay, but all 5 lug that I found. Just looked again now and found used 6 lug ones for $105... https://www.ebay.com/itm/BRAKE-DUST-SHIELD-COVER-FORD-F150-1987-1988-DANA-44-IFS-RIGHT-LEFT-SIDE-87-88/362752935946?fits=Model%3AF-150%7CMake%3AFord&hash=item5475c2880a:g:OlMAAOSw-itXve1Q:sc:USPSPriorityFlatRateBox!35094!US!-1 Anyway, I think it will be OK without any. POR-15 usually goes one quite thin and takes a couple of coats minimum to cover. That's kind of why I was asking. But once it cures it is TOUGH! Anyway, your paint job looks good. Bet it'll work well.
  13. Welcome! Glad you joined. Picture rotation is frustrating. The best thing to do is to open the pic in editing software, which usually re-orients the pic based on the metadata in the file. Then save the pic and post it. That usually work, but not always. Where's home? I ask because we have a map (Bullnose Forum/Member's Map in the menu) and I'd be happy to add you if I just had a city. Where's the truck coming from? Post up some pics!
  14. Here's the "schematic" for the speed control, although it does both electrical and vacuum. The vacuum dump valve is one way to kill the speed control, but the other is either the stop lamp switch (BOO) or the clutch switch. But I'm not sure how to answer your "Or are you all in with the EEC-V and will just short those pins out?". I think I have most things figured out on the EEC-V. But I don't plan to short any pins out. If I'm not using them I turn them off in the configuration.
  15. Ok, if that's the brake pressure switch then I'll just plug it off as I'm not going to use it. And, the BOO is apparently just the "stop lamp switch" we've had all along. Here's the page from the '85 EVTM. Note the same wire colors as in the '96 EVTM above.
  16. Oh, that's the BOO - Brake On/Off switch? I want to have one as the ECU is expecting it. But I didn't know if that was the BOO or the Brake Pressure Switch.

  19. And/or, the stud turns and breaks the little wire and your gauge is toast.
  20. I don't think those are the original nuts. But that's not a bad price and those nuts should work.

Wow! That looks fantastic! On the brake dust shields, it is Shaun's fault as he said I could do it. On those seals, go here: Documentation/Driveline/Axles And Differentials and go to the Instructions and then Dana 44 tabs. That gets you the section from the factory shop manual. As for the engine paint, how did you like the POR paint?
