  1. Man! Pavement aggregates are impressive on this mountain road!
  2. But Gary, what about your grinded finger? We are worried about it. Joking aside, you know how respectful we are about all the time and effort you put on this forum. Thanks for all and, please, relax and take care!
  3. Wow! Seems that the "tag guy" at Ford factory just put it according to his mood of the day! Thanks guys, your enthusiasm really touches me, and it goes straight to my heart, really!
  4. Thanks! I'll clean it and put it back. BTW, possible to post a pict pointing towards the radiator, showing how the fresh air duct connects to it? I found a used "rad-adapter", but cannot figure out how the rectangular duct twists from the snorkel (horizontal) to this rad-connecter (vertical). Thanks!
  5. Hi folks! Doing some cleaning on the "restoration workbench", found this plate that was obviously somewhere on the truck. Any idea where to put it back?
  6. Hey! Post the pict here! Wanna see the Deux Chevaux too!
  7. It's not like if we lost all the Forum... Time for a ride with Big Blue, away from these technological frustrations, see how «it's a wonderful world» outside.
  8. I gave a try with more recent Firefox version (v95.0): Login success, but can't go anywhere else. BUT, this is also the case for all other browsers, seems that anything goes today! From any of them (Chrome, Firefox, Safari): - "Not embedded" test site: Any button opens a 404 error page. - Embedded test site: Buttons do not react, but if I "force" to open in a new window, I obtain the same 404 message: Well, bad day for the new site!
  9. And for the "4x4" emblem, I found it there: https://www.dennis-carpenter.com/product_search/?globalfilter%5Bcustom1%5D=Truck&globalfilter%5Bcustom2%5D=1984&globalfilter%5Bcustom4%5D=&q=E3TZ-9840282-A
  10. I'm a liar!!! I completely forgot I bought them from Dennis Carpenter. Looked at my invoices Excel table, and found the truth. Sorry guys! Here is the link: https://www.dennis-carpenter.com/product_search/?globalfilter%5Bcustom1%5D=Truck&globalfilter%5Bcustom2%5D=1984&globalfilter%5Bcustom4%5D=&q=E2TZ-16720-E
  11. You know I've thought about it. Seriously. Other than the VIN and the badges it is an F350, albeit one of mixed heritage. Would make the people at the top of the passes even more surprised. Don't know why, F-350 emblems are somewhere else in their catalog: https://www.lmctruck.com/1980-96-ford/fd-1982-86-f350-fender-emblem https://www.lmctruck.com/1980-96-ford/fd-1980-81-f350-cowl-side-emblem https://www.lmctruck.com/1980-96-ford/fd-1987-96-f350-fender-emblems
  12. I plan to ask Santa for one for front seat, no need for rear seat. BigBro has no tilt issue with the front bench.
  13. Super! Thanks for so fast answer! I just have to forward it to Santa, and it's done!
  14. My wife was asking for a gift idea!
  15. Fine, let's feed this one thread. I was looking for a good console for Big Brother. The original dash had a hole in it (the original owner, an outfitter, teared out a CB microphone holder instead of unscrewing it). I used this hole to hook a drink holder during multiple years! The restoration replacement dash is nice, but I lost my cup holder. If you have a minute, maybe a pic of your console? Thanks!
  16. Gary, I looked at the 2020 thread. I understand that communications were pretty difficult with the company, but not clear for me... Did you finally get one? If so, are you satisfied? And which model fits in a 4x4 with two floor shifters? Should we transfer this this thread as a follow-up of the 2020 one?
  17. My originals were very damaged. I bought new emblems from LMC, almost same price than these ones, but new. https://www.lmctruck.com/1980-96-ford/emblems-decals/fd-1980-86-emblems
  18. To me that's basically "buying" reviews. So I'll just buy the model I want, which is the PORMIDO 12” Mirror Dash Cam with Detached Front Camera. I still haven't heard back from Melissa on what the dimensions are for the front camera, but I've found these waterproof plastic boxes, which have clear lids. In the pic of the camera, my understanding is the red is the adhesive used to attach it to the windshield. So I'm thinking I'd just attach it to the plastic lid, although I don't know yet if that box is the right size. Anyone have any other ideas? Suggestions? Reading at their specifications, seems that you do not have to cut front wire to extend it: I would buy an extension cord and see if plugs are the same for front and rear cams, and first simply playing around changing plug position of the two. Not clear for me if they have identical plugs: Reading at that text, seems that a user can plug the reverse cam in the wrong outlet? And if so, what do they call "well recognized": Meaning not working at all, or will not display the colored guidelines? Not clear...

Still skeptical, any way to hook a rear licence plate camera in place of the «Detached Front Camera»? They say «both Front and Rear camera are equipped with SONY sensor IMX335 F/2.0 aperture, captures HD footage even under low light.» So cams quality is the same, no image difference. They also specify that Rear Camera «is waterproof and can stand well outside even under extreme temperature during 4 °F to 190°F under various climates.» If the wiring is the same, why not hook two Rear Cameras to the mirror/monitor?
  20. Man, I began to read at this thread from the end. So jumped to YouTube BEFORE the beginning of your Christmas story! http://www.garysgaragemahal.com/uploads/6/5/8/7/65879365/head-rotfl-57x22_orig.gif First, «Wow, well preserved truck» Then, «What the hell, this guy is completely CRAZY?!?!» Finally, «Wait... There's no driver...» LOOOOL, so REALISTIC !!! http://www.garysgaragemahal.com/uploads/6/5/8/7/65879365/laughing-25-x-25_orig.gifhttp://www.garysgaragemahal.com/uploads/6/5/8/7/65879365/laughing-25-x-25_orig.gif
  21. Pormido sounds good. Can't it accept any camera? (for iBeam, I think understand that any RCA cam could be hooked). Would be nice if you could buy Pormido's monitor and any cams of your choice. So, any super-heavy-duty-external-warerproof front cam could do the job. Or maybe a second Pormido´s rear cam facing front?
  22. To complete: I bought these from NAPA. I am plenty satisfied, ALTHOUGH I had some issue with the windshield adaptor. The mirror comes with a "Universal" shape that doesn't fit Ford. I had to buy an adapter (TE-MM09), which is not exactly the shape of the anchor that came with my new windsheild: https://ibeamusa.com/product/TE-MM09 My goal was to NOT have a dash monitor, wanted to keep Big Brother as original as possible. Kept my original radio too, and had it "modernized" to enable bluetooth and hands free phone. This "mirror/monitor" was perfect for my purposes. Maybe there is better products out there... Can't say.
