  1. Shaun, thanks for sharing this story with us! I totally understand that. I just can't figure out the day I'll have to sell Big Bro. Fascinating, but not logical.
  2. "Dismiss" is maybe the same as "not now" or "later", as we sometimes see in other membership process. It doesn't block you, since you can complete your account profile later.
  3. Jeff - I kept this as a separate response as I wanted to discuss it by itself. I've learned more about what we can and cannot do on the registration process, so I'm going to post a question in the main section to get everyone's opinion on it. I'll tag you on it when I do, later this afternoon. Read it! If no member has a free email address to test, I'll create one with my office (or more if needed) and I'll delete them when no more useful.
  4. ABOUT HYPERLINKS Gary, I found that, if I click on a hyperlink (testing InVision) which refers to another topic, this target topic opens in Nabble. I am wondering if they will open in InVision after the move. http://www.garysgaragemahal.com/uploads/6/5/8/7/65879365/thinking-26_orig.jpg EDIT: For example, this thread:
  5. Gary, IMHO, we should have a minimum verbiage there, at least the guidelines. Well, until we find a way where each new member has no choice to read at them (and ideally agree) before being able to post. But others can have different opinion...
  6. Gary, I noticed that this space is larger for «New Members Start Here» than other topics. Something that comes from Nabble and needs to be fixed now?
  7. Ok! At first glance, I thought it was flat head on the picture. And I realize that Big Brother's entire bed side panels were replaced during the restoration, so even the body holes aren't original. Maybe this explains why the LMC 1497 fitted so well...
  8. These rare NOS parts are priceless. Couple of months ago, there was a NOS chrome rear bumper for sale. VERY expansive. Can't say I regret to not have bought it... but I still continue to think of it. Restoring is sometimes flirting with obsession. And the satisfaction to have acquired THE unique item, this is also priceless.
  9. Ok, I know this situation isn't funny... but I'll mimic a good friend: bummer! Hopping InVision techs will explain that missing. I confirm Captain, Regular Joes do not see them:
  10. Cooool truck! And I love the color! Welcome!
  11. What a journey, pull, push, winch, push pull! At least, nothing broken and the beast can hibernate quietly. Good job Bob!
  12. Sir, I fully agree! My wife and I did a 8500 miles road trip in US last summer, with Big Brother. Some of our friends asked how we did that, without any comfort. I swear that we never suffered, it's so cool to drive these truck. That's what I call "driving". If only they could drink a little less... Welcome to the forum!
  13. CJ, I ordered and installed the "on body" bumpers #41-1597 from LMC. They fitted perfectly, but I can't remember what diameter were the holes. I'll check tomorrow, maybe I ordered more than two, if so I could mesure it. If not, I'll check if I can take out one without breaking it, and mesure the body hole. The general look of these #41-1597 is very similar to your original one, conical tips.
  14. Sorry Gary, was online early this morning but on the road after. So I'm reading at your notes right now. Good idea. We'll have enough job in order to fine tune the way InVision works, so all tasks that can be done upstream in Nabble will free up time for tweaking InVision to match our needs. Yep, but how sure can we be certain that the conversion process itself will not result with nasty surprises. For example, the various InVision fonts for same kind of descriptions... could it somehow come from Nabble..?
  15. The only weak side is that we do not HAVE to read at these rules... Just checking the "I agree to the Terms of use" box is enough. Same as any other software contract that everybody check without reading. I tested it with a brand new user (Jeff-Tester-2), I didn't read the rules and just checked the box...
  16. It works Gary. I tried my two IDs and I had to agree before going further.
  17. Continuing the "new member process". I posted my first thread without any obligation to read and agree to Forum rules. And I did not have to present myself neither: Immediately after posting, I received a message: So, would be nice to find a way that any new member must COMFIRM he/she read the rules, and goes automatically through a "present yourself" process before being able to post.
  18. OK, here's how it works: 1- Depending of the width of your browser window, you will see a "drop menu" icon, or some text (up right corner). Select «Sign Up»: 2- Then, complete the required information fields: Note that, when I clicked on "Terms of Use" link, I got this empty box. I suppose it is the right place to put some members rules? 3- So, I clicked «I agree» checkbox, and I got a message asking to look at my emails in order to validate my new account. 4- Went verify my emails, and found thais one: 5- Clicked «Validate my Email address», and the final step was to validate my account in the browser window that automatically appeared. Done, my account is setup.
  19. Gary, are you going to organize a 5 minutes video (Teams, Zoom or others) to let the foreign members greet the guys on site?
  20. Hey Vivek, on the InVision testing forum, «Ford Lounge» topic, you were the last post (dated July 9th). I just replied to you. Do you see my reply?
  21. Ok Gary, so you'll have to write down all the tweaks and settings that these tests will point out as necessary... ´cause when the flight tests will be done and the plane will be ready to take off with all its passengers aboard, we'll not have much time to setup the control panel.
