So it takes shape...
So this is my "small" M32 cable gland... Here is my injection and O2 sensor distribution. Every injector has its own cable. This is my distributor box for the ECU. This is my shielded cable that goes directly to the distributor. I have set the EEC realy outside beneath the fuel pump relay. It's easier to wire for me.

Thanks!
Yesterday I have done a short night shift. Grounding is important Also found a new position for the coil It also got GND, don't know if necessary, but it won't hurt anyway.

My new fuse and relay box: Fits 11 fuses and 6 relays. One of Bill's connectors that I've got from him: Is this the connector for the fuel pump inside the tank?

Rene' that 3 wire connector goes to the MAP (Manifold Absolute Pressure) sensor which was originally in the area behind your battery, near the solenoid valve collection. In 1987 Ford moved it to the top of the AC casing, in towards the wiper motor.
The yellow pair is part of the fuel pump(s) power circuit, if you look at the fuel delivery part of the 1986 EVTM on the site you should be able to find it. I did find a later harness with the brown and green relay sockets, but I would just change to the standard Bosch cube relays as they are much easier to find both in Europe and here.

Hi Bill.
Thanks. I only want to show how I have modified the wires of the connector, you've send to me... About the fuel pump power circuit connector...Thanks for the information. And about the relays: I have also changed, as you have recommended me before. I will see for what I can use the other relays in the future. Currently I only connect two of six (fuel pump and EEC). I will also post next time for what I'll use the 11 fuses... Tomorrow I will mount the shielded cable gland and route the shielded cable to the distributor. Maybe I have first to mount my air filters to see how's the best way to route the cables from the sensors in the engine bay...

Hi Bill, I found some pins in your pin-out list, which is my base, for that I don't find the circuits in the schematic of the EEC-IV.
Pin3: VSS+ Pin8: FPM Pin31: CANP Pin30 and Pin38 seems to be the same? I have measured GND (e.g. Pin40) to EGOG (Pin49)...no connection. Is it possible That the ECU can switch the heater on and off? I have measured the connection between both pins with no power applied. I also have forgotten to show my version of the SPOUT inside the car. So no connector that can fail inside the engine bay:

Pin #3 on either the 5.0 or 5.8L EEC-IV 1987 up is indeed VSS+ (Vehicle Speed Sensor signal high) this was not used on 1985/86 systems. If you have a speed control it has one in the speedometer cable. If not, they were commonly integrated into the speedometer drive.
Pin #8, FPM is Fuel Pump Monitor, it tells the EEC the fuel pump is receiving power Pin #31 is Canister Purge, Evaporitive system canister purge to the intake manifold Pin #30 is for the automatic transmission neutral position sense Pin #38 is for the E4OD transmission Electronic Pressure Control solenoid. Nicely done on moving the Spout connector where it is protected.

Hi Bill,
Thanks for the answer. So this means as I don't have a speed sensor, i don't need this pin. My speedometer is mechanical... It seems I also don't need the pin number 8, cause it wasn't connected before... I also seem to have no use for pin 31, currently... Regarding the transmission, I seem to only need the pin 30, cause of using a C6 gearbox. What do you think about the EGOG pin? Is it possible That the ECU can switch it on and off?

EGOG is Oxygen sensor signal ground. Your original 1986 EEC had it, the orange wire to pin #49. On the 1985/86 systems it was connected to the rear right side intake bolt as it had a stud on it. Using a heated sensor, there is still a signal ground but it is part of the O2 sensor wiring.

Ok, I understand...
So this means, I will connect the heated O2 sensor to any ground point, to the ignition run and to pin 29. Pin 49 will be also connected to any GND point in my wiring.
