  1. I can only speak to the 5.0L, but it is my understanding that the 5.0 pickups with automatics got MAF in 1995, and the manuals did not. In 1996 both manuals and autos got MAF. The 1995 F150 5.0 I bought to junk for the chassis was a 5spd truck and was not MAF. I was just curious what the MAF scoop was on the 5.8L. Since they kept using the 5.8L a full year after the 5.0L was discontinued in the pickups, I was curious if it ever got the "upgrade". My friend Chris has a 1997 F350 same as the one here, and it has a build date of 11/97 so they must have built them right up until the end of the calendar year. Well that’s interesting! I would not have thought that the transmission would make a determining factor.
  2. Mr. Majestyk! Liked that movie and the truck!
  3. Yes I believe some have put screens under the cowl openings. And some and I’m pretty sure Gary did, put the later style cowls on with the smaller holes like my 92 Bronco. The cowl is hard without removing the hood, I got mine loose and lifted a side at a time to clean it out. Then found a bunch in the panels where the vents are. I have A/C so no vents, but panels. The debris was about level with the lower part of the panel. Also found a lot when replacing the blower motor. All around the resistor. I think next time hopefully this summer, I’m going to try and blow the debris down and get it through the panels.

  5. This could have MAF. I believe 1995 and up could have either MAP or MAF. I’ve found no rhyme or reason to which.
  6. Thanks Bill! And thanks Dave, Gary and all inputting on this. This is very helpful.
  7. It is cool! Very cool! I had a AM/FM 8 track stereo from the factory in my 1972 Hurst/Olds Cutlass 442 Pace Car Edition. Big old 455 in that bad dog!
  8. There’s my truck! Nice, except for the price. To me anyway. I don’t get the lights under the fender emblems.
  9. ^x2 what Cory said. That’s the first thing that popped into my head.
  10. Good points! I bought an aluminum topper for my 94 F250 about 8 years ago and it was a little over $800. I priced an A.R.E. MX with the door on the back hatch for that 94 F250 around the same time, and it was around $2300. That’s what appeals to me, I could handle it and store it easy enough. If I decided to take off the saddle box I would consider this. I like the Softtoppers too. But they are still on, but fold out of the way.
  11. I doubt I would get one as I like having the bed open and I’m pretty sure my days of sleeping in a truck are over. Also I like my saddle box and it can be a pain to take on and off without help. But, if I had the need it would be great because I think it could be handled pretty easily. I like their cots or decks I think they call them. Buy yeah, spendy.
  12. https://www.rearcounter.com/E0TZ-9N176-B-parts2218302.html E3TZ 9N176-B is the same isn’t it? For some reason I know of that part number. Doesn’t get many hits either in a search. Rear counter as David posted has info on it.
  13. Dang! A lot of work! Good job!
  14. Yup, spendy, but would be good for me. They replied tonight, figured it would be in the morning. They said they drive 90 all the time.
  15. Has anybody seen this? I stumbled across it. https://getflated.com/products/air-topper-large?variant=40058622050472 Unless I missed it, it doesn’t mention how fast you can drive with it installed. I sent a message and asked. See if I get a reply.
  16. Sounds good! As I was typing I thought the same thing and wondered how many Marysville there are in this country. I’ve heard of Kendall Ford, I think they have several locations.
  17. Bounceback is a great word to describe what the cold/hot lever does. Interesting that Bullys have screws to hold the cable sheath, but Brickys get primitive metal spikes in a spring steel clip. Furd beancounters at work... That's our standard android phone now, across the family. We get used OnePlus 5T phones on fleabay for about $120, wipe them, root them, and install LineageOS Havoc, a non-Goolag android OS. We never login to Goolag, so we can't be tracked everywhere we go, and all our shopping/surfing data remains private. It has a great camera and even 4k video. We get our apps from Aurora Store, which opens an anonymous Play Store session. Almost all apps are available. If you're computer literate, give it a try. LineageOS intro Amazing the photos these phones can take.
  18. That’s cool! I was going to tease you and ask, are you sure that’s not Marysville California? But I looked and the Ford dealership is in nearby Yuba City.
  19. Thanks for sharing. Man, nice close up on the cable. Did you use a phone or a camera?
  20. This is interesting. I thought the 460’s didn’t have a throttle kicker. I don’t, and if it did, it is gone. I’ll have to look for evidence of the module. The EVTM says it should have one. Edit: Ok, after looking in the FSM it says the 460 only has it on Canadian and California emission vehicles. The EVTM is not clear on that.
