  1. Yes, some people figure if it cost $3000 to overhaul the engine, then the price goes up that much.
  2. https://medford.craigslist.org/cto/d/medford-1994-ford-bronco-xlt/6802928815.html I don't get it. Perhaps it's the new recreational marijuana law.
  3. Looking good! A gruff old fart that used to own a muffler shop here would drop you off his rack and put it outside if you tried to talk about no cats. We're not smog here either but the "snot noses from Portland" would come down and try to catch him doing it. So he just pushed the vehicle outside and wouldn't work on it. They have a reason to not want to. Best way to circumvent that would be to do it yourself, unfortunately. Disclaimer: I am in no way advocating this!
  4. https://klamath.craigslist.org/cto/d/klamath-fallsx4/6801202169.html Doesn't look too bad. They are getting rid of vehicles. Have several Ford trucks for sale. This one and two 1979 Super Cabs. One that I'm coveting. https://klamath.craigslist.org/cto/d/klamath-fallssuper-cab-4x4/6801222644.html This is the one I would like. https://klamath.craigslist.org/cto/d/klamath-fallssuper-cab-4x4/6801210520.html
  5. Congrats! I think! On the EFI, my 92 Bronco has a test port on the fuel rail where you can see the fuel pressure with a test gauge. If you have one on the 85 I would start there. My Bronco was hard to start when cold when I got it. Got a good deal IMO. It ended up being a bad coil. I ended up getting a code reader like below that has been a great help. https://www.innova.com/en-US/Product/Detail/3145?r=0.33925862207167196
  6. I don't like the wheels. I agree on the engine. And I definitely don't like the price! Wow! It's a beauty though!
  7. My 1988 diesel said "Wait To Start" IIRC. I don't think I've looked at a Bullnose diesel.
  8. I don't think you have in tank electric pumps, so I would guess the Trailer Lamp Relay.
  9. Congrats! And good job sticking with it and researching and finding the cause. I have not heard of this happening before as far as I remember. (But, my rememberer ain't too good!) Not my Bronco and I almost got up and did a happy dance!
  10. That's awesome! Those brackets can be a pain to find.
  11. Those are good ones. IMHO of course. Ever use Mouse Milk? https://www.amazon.com/Mouse-Milk-Oil-8-Oz/dp/B0049C7170 We used to use Mopar Heat Valve Solvent or Penetrant, forget the exact name, on aircraft turbocharger waste gates. Spray in on, let it sit and then hit it with an air rivet gun with a 2x4 in between. I have not heard of the Mopar Heat Valve Solvent since the late 70's when I worked at a Dodge / Chry / Plym dealer ship in the body shop. Kroil works great when I used it in HVAC at a hospital and would be my go to if I could find it on the store shelves. I have PB Blaster on hand but don't think it works to good as it seams to dry out if left to soak in. Also not happy with Liquid Wrench. I have some ATF & WD-40 mixed that I was pouring in plug holes on a stuck motor, have not checked if it worked yet? Dave ---- I agree on the Kroil. Another that impressed me was Pyroil penetrating oil. I haven't seen it lately either. http://pyroilchemicals.com/products/pyroil-penetrating-oil
  12. I like it as is. The contrast looks good and will break it up when people are ohhing and ahhing at your truck!
  13. Is your carb sitting on a spacer? Like Gary mentioned use some brake cleaner to look for a leak.
  14. What about the EGR valve? Just trying to think of what would make it stumble and/or stall.
  15. My 92 Bronco has a PMGR. And IIRC I used a ring terminal also.
