  1. Keeper! But, you already knew that! Good on you two. Enjoy the blessings!
  2. What kind of issues where you having with it? If I built the one I have it would be dealing with 351w torque but a transmission is something I want over-built, I don’t want to worry about it. It’s a tool to get power to the ground and needs to be tough. And the simplicity of the C6 is hard to beat. Kickdown rod and one vacuum line, that’s about all it takes. I’ve never wondered if it was strong enough. Had the pump replaced and 2 or 3 solenoid packs. Can’t remember what else while I owned it. A lot was done before I owned it. Could have been a lemon I guess. Maybe it doesn’t equate to HP and Q, but I don’t know what else it would be. You might be fine with the 351W, that’s whats in my Bronco.
  3. Mine did that after I moved a travel trailer for someone. Put it in a spot I didn’t think it would go in to. The young ladies dad was a retired trucker. He says just do what I tell you, you’ll be fine. Got it in and unhooked ready to pull out and it dumped out of the input shaft. Shut it off, let it cool and away I went.
  4. As you probably know, I’ll disagree with that if you put an E4OD behind a 6.9, 7.3 or 460. Or something with a lot of horsepower and torque. The one I had in my 94 F250 had everything done to it (as told by the dealership warranting it) to make it, what was next? The 4R100. It was problematic. Now the one in my 92 Bronco has been trouble free. That 94 had 4.10 gears and my 86 with the C6 has 3.55. I don’t mind the C6 at all, but it’s not one I take on long road trips. I like the C6 as you stated tough and simple.

  6. That’s great! Man, a lift would be nice!
  7. That step is important as we hold everyone to the guidelines, so you need to have read them and if you haven't please do so. As for your project, I'm not sure what experience we have with 99 frames, but is it an F150, 250, 350, SuperDuty, or what? I think that will make a difference. Anyway, I'm sure others with more knowledge than I will be along soon. Again, welcome! Welcome!
  8. Boy, I’m glad I’m not the only one forgetting things... wait, what were we talking about?
  9. Found this site looking at bottle jacks online. I like their all in one jack/jackstand. Good for me in my gravel drive where I work on my vehicles. https://www.powerbuilt.com/collections/jacks-and-lift-equipment/products/4000-lb-unijack-bottle-jack-jackstand-in-one Here’s the website: https://www.powerbuilt.com/# Lot of things say out of stock, use the SKU and check on Amazon. Wondering if they make tools for Harbor Freight.
  10. Nice! Ingenious on the set screws! Good thinking and good job!
  11. Remake I assume. When that movie was being made in the 80’s I stayed with my sister in Valencia California for awhile job hunting after I got out of the Corps. I remarked one day that they are building a new gas station, in a day or so I noticed it was a facade. That night they filmed the scene where the gas station blew up. A picture in the paper. They did it late at night. Used to film Dukes of Hazzard in those hills around there. Edit: Grammar correction!
  12. Just in case someone doesn’t have a heater! Interesting! https://klamath.craigslist.org/pts/d/klamath-falls-ford-heater-magic-air/7072372387.html
  13. Ok, that’s good you know where you stand with that tranny. Hopefully the right option falls into your lap! Out of curiosity, how long does 2300 gallons last? I ask because I bet I would cut down a lot if I had to get it like you do.
  14. First, that’s a great picture! Second, I saw a bullnose yesterday that looks like yours. Made me smile, an old ranch truck in pretty good shape and still kicking! If you use your trailer, about 3/4 full would be gross weight. If the road isn’t bad and you’re going slow the trailer would probably take the full tank, but I would expect things to break or wear faster. And I would probably try it with the tranny in it. An F600 with a higher gross weight, but under CDL weight would be great. Might even be able to do both tanks. Might be a challenge for parts and repair, or it might work great for years.
  15. Yeah I had to seal mine too. I got a seal from LMC I think.
  16. How do I get to those? Internal kick panels or pull fender liner? From the inside you pull the plastic panels by your feet. You’ll see the inner panels screwed in under there. I pulled the cowl up on mine and vacuumed in there and where the blower motor and resistor are. Pulled the inner panels and pulled out the most of it by hand then vacuumed
