  1. Definitely. I always see the nice truck underneath all the cheese...lol. I'd have to remove everything and plain it down a little bit for my liking. Yes, actually my truck is almost too gussied up!
  2. Oil is stubborn. I fix oil leaks and it goes and finds another way out!
  3. On the accumulator get a new one don't use the used one. Also before you charge the system you need to pull a vacuum on the system and it should hold for 30 min. or longer. If it holds then you can charge the system. Dave ---- Great point Dave! I just assumed it was known. I do know what assume means too!
  4. The Bronco looks good! I like those wheels! Would like to get some new ones for my Bronco. Really, I’d like to have a bullnose Bronco.
  5. Haha, well you could certainly post an ad asking for that much...lol. Actually, I don’t like it. Too gussied up for me. And, man, that interior is red! House of ill repute red!
  6. Welcome! I usually check for vacuum leaks first.
  7. Pressure. http://acprocold.com/faq/r-134a-system-pressure-chart/ Edit: there’s more charts out there with lower temperatures if you need it.
  8. I looked into these folks, don’t remember who recommended them, but I believe someone did. https://guaranteedcarburetors.com/ I ended up buying a Holley Classic so the linkage would match and I’m happy with it.
  9. Cool! Thanks! I was going to go to the hardware store and see what I can find. That helps. Waiting for some I want to go work on the truck weather!
  10. Scott, ha! Launch is a good term for the seat going forward! My pass. seat was wobbling around making noise and in general being annoying. I put some large area washers under the worn and hard rubber bushings. Took care of it. Now I need to find a suitable sub, couldn’t find any with part numbers available. The seats are comfy!
  11. Cory, IIRC I used the oil recommended by the compressor manufacturer. GSMBlue, I would replace the accumulator. I cleaned mine out with isopropyl alcohol and compressed air. I would replace the o-rings. You’ll need R134 adapters if you don’t have them already. I do mine at home. Gauges from HFT, I put a valve on the yellow service port. You can use a bucket of warm, not hot water to help get the refrigerant in. I’ve found that if you put the right amount (pounds) in, the pressure should be in the range. Edit: Thanks David, good stuff! Thanks Bill, you had something to do with that!
  12. Wow! Cool, I think I’d be there grabbing stuff just cause!
  13. I have done it quite a bit on my konvertible and on Darth. I will crimp a lug on, with a piece of heat shrink slid up the wire, solder it and then once it cools slide the heat shrink down and seal it. Interesting! Thanks guys! I will have to remember that. I like holding it to get a proper solder. I can be steady as a rock, then put a soldering iron in one hand and solder in the other and I start shaking like a dog passing razor blades!
  14. Why are you crimping and soldering? Never done that or remember of hearing it done.
  15. Oh, great! Maybe that’s why I think my truck doesn’t ping! I’m assuming the hearing aids will help!
  16. Most sellers don't do No Reserve auctions, so it's a bit unique in that sense. If it was an XLT/Lariat with AC, I bet she'd crack $10k, but the plain models don't fetch the big bucks like the fancy trucks do. I guess we will see. I see people arguing on FB all the time over truck values, but in my opinion, auction prices on Ebay are honest indicators of market value. As my friend who sells cars says, it’s worth what you can get for it. Nice, but I agree, definitely like steelies better than those wheel covers!
  17. Yes, depends on someones idea of a “clean title”. Edit: sorry, I’m cynical. I even ask people now, is that a clean title in your name?
  18. https://klamath.craigslist.org/pts/d/central-point-weatherguard-in-box/7089562423.html Nice boxes, spendy, but nice.
  19. Nice find! One thing I don’t like is the no plates part.
