  1. Used my truck for a Rockchuck relocation. Caught the little bugger this evening. He was in my wood pile. So I’m thinking Woodchuck. Dang Woodchucks, quit chuckin’ my wood! Plus the neighbor calls this morning and there’s a stupid deer in my yard! Got over the six foot fence, but couldn’t get back out. Felt like Marlin Perkins. “Now my assistant Jim will wrestle the Bengal Tiger to the ground!”
  2. My drivers door lock is slow, when cold really slow. Helps to go unlock then lock again. Seems to work better when it’s warm out. Also works better from the passenger side switch. There was a lock switch and drivers window switch in the truck when I got it. Needed to replace the window switch, also did the lock switch, seems a little better.
  3. I bought some speed bleeders listed for my truck. Will not work, IIRC, they were too big, i.e. thread size. Fortunately they are “supposed” to fit my Bronco, we shall see.
  4. Ha! Good! I used to reach the one on my 68 Chevy 1/2 ton I used to have. It had a 307. I could climb in there and sit. The distributor on our Suburban is a bit of a challenge.
  5. Then tell them that’s where it should be! So a normal human can get to it!
  6. That’s cool! Or warm, I guess. I used a heavy duty appliance timer for my Ford diesel when I had it. I would have it come on about 2-3 hours before I would head for work, depending on the temperature.
  7. I’d use that as my cruise mobile. Congrats! Good find!
  8. Welcome! I have family in the LaSalle/Peru area.
  9. Well that's interesting. My 4160 is relatively new...purchased only about 2 years ago, and it has the two angled barbs like the upper right hand picture above. I can tell you that the bottom barb on mine is full manifold vacuum as that is the port I used for my vacuum gauge when I was getting everything set up. I wouldn't be able to use it for the distributor in my situation as I would have full vacuum advance at idle. My 4160 is fairly new also, 2 years old max, I think. 3 ports, two full vacuum and one timed spark vacuum source.
  10. We were just talking about that. It was heavy too. Could tell by the cost at the dump. We saved a bit of big pieces. Sounds yummy! I’ll have to see who has a smoker!
  11. I will see what I can do. I have yet to order the hinge so it will be a little while before I get to the hinge mod. Dump run! Trimmed our apple tree today and loaded the truck for a dump run! Lots of reasons lately to use my truck, so it’s been fun to use it and drive it. I did redo my toolbox mounts and put on a different CB antenna. The price of gas certainly makes it a little more enjoyable!
  12. That really cracks me up with your avatar next to it!
  13. That’s good to hear Scott. Unfortunately I would be tickled to get 11.9, maybe I could going 50 MPH! Bummer about the starter though. Mine was slow, particularly when warm when I got it. Mine was a timing issue. It was like 28° or so, can’t remember exactly. But timing cured it.
  14. Haha! Yup! Thought you might think that!
  15. Welcome from the Klamath Basin!
  16. This was bumped up on craigslist. I noticed today it has the same wheels as mine.
  17. That’s great! Good friend of mine is a big UDub fan.
