I think driving vehicles or using machinery helps, sitting is not good IMO. I haven’t believed a Ford fuel gauge until 1992 and newer!

Ok, 235 75's are totally fine. I was just curious if you were running wide/low profile tires on the front like I am. They actually make the problem worse as the wider tires track with the road more. There is an adjustment procedure for the steering box, and it's very simple. I did it to mine originally, and it felt a little better, briefly, but then got loose again. I installed two new reman boxes before finally buying a RedHead box. I actually wanted the BlueTop box, but every time they had a sale on, they had no stock on the Ford boxes, and RedHead did, so that is all that drove my decision. I might try a BlueTop in the future. They do make a noticeable difference. The Ford trucks I’ve had have been long wheelbases. My 86 drives nice. But I may just be driving like 66gtk said, know your vehicle. But my Bronco is a different story. If I haven’t driven it for awhile it gets my attention. I always considered it aptly named. Very short wheelbase. I think Ella did a great job. On teaching my three kids to drive the youngest scared me! Until we bought her a smaller vehicle. She was getting the hang of the Bronco though.

Yep. Janey and I were out one day and I heard that whine pull into wherever we were. Without looking I said "Old Ford truck" and she said "How'd you know?" I said "The power steering pump gives it away. Mine won't sound like that." One of the Fords I use to own made that familiar “whine”. My 86 is like yours Angelo, quiet. Now I’ve done it!

I’ve never looked into it very far, so none to recommend. I’m with Dave, heard from people and read where folks have not had good luck, if it wasn’t designed for an electric fan. I think we recently discussed this here. I mentioned that my Suburban has the B-17 fan and two electric ones also. For the front and rear A/C in slow traffic I’m assuming. And the tranny cooler and the hydro boost cooler. Man that thing has a lot of stuff!

Still original. Found a duct and the inlet at a local u pull it. They were missing when I got the truck.

Greg, I don’t remember, did you check your coil?

This explains why I can hear every cylinder fire when I have the radio on... An aural tachometer!

I would run what Ford recommends which is 192° or 195° I believe. Edit: As Jim said on the oil, I run 10w30. I use Valvoline “conventional”, I guess it’s called now, or NAPA oil. And a Motorcraft, Wix, NAPA or Purolator filter.
