  1. I’d ditch the valve too, but I would like to know what it is for!
  2. The dually fenders are out there, I've seen a few pop up on my local marketplace, but you may have to end up buying a whole bed to get them, and travel across the country. If you want A/C, the brackets for the compressor may be hard to find. If you have the room and patience it’s not bad for the price.
  3. On the paint at the holes you’re going to drill. We used paint cutters on aircraft that hadn’t had the inspection panels pulled yet. But they were for screws, and I don’t remember seeing anything bigger than a 1/4 inch, which is what this link shows. Maybe one could make them. The little tip in the middle goes in the screw head. https://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/topages/screwpaintcutterkit.php?gclid=EAIaIQobChMItfSY56iZ6QIVCMJkCh0k3gVFEAQYASABEgIFcPD_BwE
  4. Nice! I’ve got a Cobra CB in my Bronco that looks like yours. 29 NW ST WX. I've got a Cobra 148 GTL in my truck. I bought a little Uniden to put in my Xterra, sent it back, it was not a good radio IMHO. Bought a littler President Bill radio. Got it in, checked SWR and got an answer right away from right at 5 miles away from me. I’m using a Firestik Firefly 3 foot antenna mounted in the back hatch channel. Also a Firestik FireRing coax. Impressive. I had my Cobra 29 repaired for sentimental reasons and wish I hadn’t and used the money toward a President radio in the Bronco. If you don’t have much room and you’re not a “ratchet jaw”, it’s a great little CB. Also has weather.
  5. Might check with AAA. If you’re buying it and getting it home, I don’t think they’ll do that, at least not part of the “free” tows. I tried once but don’t remember the details.
  6. That’s great! Where did you get the gauge?
  7. Man, I want to head up! I’d like to get a Ranchero some day. That’d be cool to get two scooters!
  8. Good deal on the coolant leak. This isn’t any help, but a comment, or opinion. I gave up trying to get noise out of CB’s. I’ve run them from the cigar lighter, tap a fuse and directly to the battery. Tried filters, just not good radios for keeping noise out of. I like the President Bill I put in my Xterra. Has Automatic Squelch Control, so I don’t hear anything until I get a strong signal.
  9. No you don’t see those often. Not a bad price.
  10. Scott, I like the stance on my 86 better. The 94 was even IMO. It says it’s for ride height and not weight capacity, but when I went over rough railroad tracks I have to feel around on the floor to find my teeth! I think, and heavy on the think part, that the 86 rides better. And I know that’s not saying much.
  11. I wish they would just put what they want to get out of them and have applicable shipping costs. Insulting to what intelligence I have!
  12. In the description it says buyer has choice of horn pad. Wonder if that statement was added.
  13. I like the clear plastic idea. Not seeing it, I’m not sure. Could you fasten wood strips all the way around and on the crossmembers? Then you could staple the plastic on and it would be easier to work with in the future perhaps.
