I keep an eye out for things like this and I see a Bronco every now and then come up. I did come across the remote control truck the other day and thought it was pretty neat but a bit pricey to sit on a shelf Team Associated CR12

Doubt about towing equipment of special trailer.

You bet! It can be a real mess when looking up under the bed trying to make sense of it. It can get even worse when a PO tried to 'improve' upon it -

That's the other end of c1110 though the colors change during its course. You won't need the red/green striped one. Edit: I should clarify that as it's misleading (aka stated wrong). The red and yellow don't really change. It's just that they are both hot 12v. So different circuits but 'same' function. -

Could very well be. There's been more than a few found already so what's one more? -

Accordingly to Marti Report, Big Brother was delivered a bit later than expected: It's still strange that 85 harnesses were installed in early 84 trucks (at least Canadian Crew Cabs). Anyway, the evidence is clear, we have the proof that '84 EVTM edition isn't the one I needed! Hmm yeah, I was expecting much later in the year. What about this: The 84 connector has 4 wires. In your photo 2 of the 6 wires are spliced. Perhaps someone added those two and swapped connectors to the 85 style? On my phone so haven't analyzed which of the wires are spliced and if that holds water but maybe? -

It may have just been some bleed-over dependent upon when your truck was assembled and at what plant. So you may have an 85 main dash harness and an excuse to buy another hardcopy EVTM -
WHYDTYTT: What Have You Done To Your Truck Today?

Just saw this Gary. That looks incredible! Guessing the texture will give it a little more traction as well? I removed mine and did a textured powdercoat with the goal of improving traction but this a much quicker/easier solution. -

Looks very sharp! Was left stranded the other day in the middle of the road but surprisingly it wasn't the 37 year old truck but rather the 2015 F150. Was going along just fine, had a brief stumble and just died. After some cranking it started and was able to get it in a parking lot in limp mode. Unfortunately this was 45min from home at 9pm but fortunately my in-laws live close so we were able to borrow my father in laws code reader and car. Quick diagnosis of it being the coolant temp sensor. Truck has the 5.0 with 65k on it but guess these going bad are pretty common. The really nice thing was that the part was $16 from the dealership and required nothing more than reaching up to the back of the engine and swapping it out. 5 min job and back in business. With the more modern truck I always dread things like this happening but got lucky this time. -
Will be glad to start calling around to vendors. How about we create a folder/thread under Events for 2023 and any of us calling places can add them to the thread so we don't double dip?

Get the highest rated jack stands you can justify. I've got a few Craftman pairs (back when Sears was all but giving stuff away) and there is a huge difference in 'beefy-ness' between the light duty ones and the ones with the yellow cradle. For our trucks, it may not be a concern but you never know what you might use them for in the future and they aren't something that goes bad unless left in the elements. I'll second Gary on the floor jack being the safest and best choice for at home. Even if you need to use on a non-concrete surface you can throw down some 3/4 plywood. Used one of the hi lifts yesterday to remove the front tire on a tractor and I'll admit that I fall into the category of not liking them (a lot of that is knowing a guy that almost died on the side of the road because of one). Not saying they don't work as they do but they are just a tool where one really needs to think through all the things that could go wrong because they aren't very forgiving. End soapbox As for our trucks, I honestly don't know how they'd be used without causing damage to the truck assuming factory equipped. Gary has a different bumper than most of us with a solid, flat bottom that lends itself to jacking. Gary - is the front bumper it or is there another application for that hi lift jack? Asking out of ignorance from one that hasn't used a jack to get unstuck.

1986 XLT Lariat interior parts needed
kramttocs replied to Higgy86's topic in For Sale, Trade, or Free To A Good Home
Sorry, it won't be AC down there but just venting. It's not uncommon to take the vents from a non AC truck and put them in an AC truck for more vented air flow. Just an option. -
Welcome!

Sounds like a great truck! Great to have you

Is this for your 86? If so, just to ensure the closest match in your search - Chestnut is the 86 name. That's the color my 86 has so I may have some kick panels in a parts truck at my parents. Pretty sure the map pockets were in rough shape though. Just a couple things to think about: SEM paint - if you are redoing some other panels you can go this route and it leaves you open to finding about any color of kick panels. Replace the solid kick panels with the non AC vents. Very hard to find in chestnut since by 86, AC was common but again, could paint. -
Thanks for adding the photo. That firewall mat is the factory one I referenced. Pretty sure it was standard equipment though (on all vehicles). You are right about the extra package option though and it does go a long ways for cab comfort noisewise.
