Welcome aboard! Check the wiring [connector with 3 wires] connecting the base of the distributor with the ignition module which is located on the fender liner on the driver's side. Pull the two connector pieces apart, clean and dry the three prongs, apply some dielectric grease and reconnect. Any moisture in this area will negatively impact the firing of the spark plugs.

Check with Matthew [Dorsai] regarding the cold air intake hose adapter which attaches the hose to the radiator support. He obtained one and has good photos of his extremely original 6 cylinder engine and truck.

Gary reported: As for MPG, I would have thought that running right on 14.5 would give good MPG, but we only got 10.6 MPG on the front tank, and that was mostly at 55 to 65 MPH. But, it used to get 11 to 12 MPG in those conditions with a worn out engine and no overdrive. Gary, have you checked the accuracy of the speedometer/odometer since the transmission swap?
