  3. Thats how walker products look. The tail pipe I got for my '82 truck was not only a 2" tail pipe when it should have been 2 1/4" like the 351W but it had the same crunched down rippled bends. Same as my walker Y pipe had the same crunched down rippled bends. I did end up getting a newer tail pipe in the correct 2 1/4" for a 351W truck for like a '83-86 with a different hanger but this brand I cant remember off the top of my head but it has more OE like bends where the pipe is crunched down some but its a smooth crunched down radius bend not a accordian wrinkled bend. Big reason why I want to go aftermarket on the Y pipe for my truck cause Walker makes some real junky exhaust pipes for our trucks. Down side is Magnaflow which makes Y pipes for our trucks has since started only selling California Compliant versions with a pre cat in the Y and the converter or you can go with this other brand Bassani that does nice mandrel bent Y pipes but they only sell the Y pipe in a 3" single exhaust flavor. big reason why I cant decide on my truck Y pipe wise. Seems like everything from Walker Y pipe/Tail pipe wise is made either the wrong size, horrible crinkled bends, or they are not bent right to where they dont fit. I did get a off road Y pipe from Jegs for our trucks but its in multiple pieces and has a clamp under the oil pan which I dont want and know you can never weld that joint up and make it look nice. On the returns, I honestly never returned my exhaust pieces to them as it would cost me more to pay return shipping than what the items cost in the first place. So I will either sell them on ebay to make some of my money back or toss them. Have you looked at the BOSAL 0794032? https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=1472952 It looks like Rock Auto has it for about $232 plus shipping.

  12. I will be away for awhile, so wanted to sure and wish everyone a blessed Christmas!
  13. Two things, Gary... first of all, I bet you will find the off the line performance to be more crisp with the 3 degree bump in static timing plus the richer [less lean?] idle mixture. Second, I don't remember how the speed control is connected to the throttle in Big Blue, but on older models with the chain connection, if too loose, the response lagged behind. Congratulations, you are getting closer to the Blooming Onion!!!
  14. In my opinion, no one is asking that anyone leave the forum!

  17. They are really easy to disassemble, at least the later ones are anyway. I have a factory sliding rear window out of a 1996, and I disassembled it down to every single piece. This way I was able to deep clean all of the tracks and channels, as well as the felts and rubbers. I sanded and repainted the two upper and lower aluminum channels (aluminum color) and I repainted the glass frames with satin black. This was a 24 year old SRW i grabbed at the junkyard for $35 and I was able to make it look and work like brand new. http://forum.garysgaragemahal.com/file/n82629/IMG_9597.jpg http://forum.garysgaragemahal.com/file/n82629/IMG_9530.jpg http://forum.garysgaragemahal.com/file/n82629/IMG_9531.jpg http://forum.garysgaragemahal.com/file/n82629/IMG_9579.jpg http://forum.garysgaragemahal.com/file/n82629/IMG_9580.jpg Looks good, what kind of rubber goes on the stationary glass? I bought one piece and its like 12" long and the parts and illustration guide states 4 required I dont know if thats 4 per stationary glass or 4 total for the whole back window. Mine is the original factory one on my '82. Plan on salvaging it with fresh gaskets. This is the one I got. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Ford-OEM-Weatherstrip-Back-Window-NOS-E3TZ-1042052-B-82-91-F100-F150-F250-F350-/231213619722
