  1. Pete - The only door panels at the swap meet yesterday were not those with the separate cover. Sorry.
  2. Looks like the K2 I had. Only lots prettier.
  3. Glad you got it running. And, momma being happy is paramount. The international show is next year - September 15th to be exact. But this year's "domestic" show went well. I'm going to write it up in a bit and post some pics. However, just fyi, FTE had nothing to do with it. Heretofore my get-togethers have been associated with FTE because I was hosting them in their name and gave away their lanyards and stickers, although I was funding the get-togethers. This year was the first to be a full-blown show & swap meet with trophies, banners, signs, ballots, and other expenses. In addition Tim Meyer came with his engine goodies, and Miller welders were there to allow folks to try their hand at welding and plasma cutting. Plus we had a small concession stand. But when I asked FTE for lanyards and stickers to give out they didn't even respond for two weeks, and when they finally did they didn't provide anything. With other things that were going on between myself and IB/FTE at the time, that was the straw that broke the camel's back and I disassociated all of my efforts from FTE, once and for all.
  4. A man of his word! 👍 Glad you got it running to some extent. When you are ready to start troubleshooting let us know. We will be here.
  5. Lots better than having water in the engine. And glad you have power back. 👍
  6. That's my understanding, although I've never had one w/o factory A/C. Okiehoma is hot in the summer!
  7. Interesting! I've never seen one of those. All I've seen are either part of the door panel itself or of the Rosewood type Jonathan posted. And I thought I'd seen them all. But, it shows in the catalog on my page here. Note that for 1982 there is one w/o woodgrain insert w/o bright finish moulding. That one, E1TZ 1023943, should be the one you are looking for. You might want to look on eBay as I've never seen one. But I will look tomorrow at the swap meet. 👍
  8. The first leg of the trip was the shorter one. I left at noon after I slept in to reverse my night schedule, then walked the dog, fed the iguana, the cats and the fish... (biologists! 🙄). That put me at my sister's house at 8pm New Mexico time. Tomorrow is the longer leg, I will be up before the sun and no zoo to take care of! Drive safely and we will see you this afternoon. 👍 David and Natalie were to make it to west of Memphis last night, but were running late due to some defugalties, as Dad would have said, but I'll let David explain tonight. Tim is on the road and also should be here this evening. As for gypsies Bill and Chris, they've been wandering all over Oklahoma finding closed up Ford dealerships. They even found one in Ponca City where we lived for 12 years - and didn't know it existed. I've driven past it many times and never noticed the Ford script in the windows. Anyway, they should be here this afternoon as well. Let the party begin!
  9. The only other removeable speaker grille cover that I can think of is the type found in 85/85 XLT style doors with the cloth insert. Is that what you have? I may have one of those or may be able to find one... Pete - It would help if you would post pics. As Jonathan said or implied, what you have doesn't sound right for an '82, as you can probably tell from the parts list.
  10. Welcome, Hardy! Thanks for joining. Yes, you are allowed to post links to other sites here. We obviously aren't the only one out there, just the best. 😎 As for what you posted there: Lol! Devcon3! Thanks for your best wishes. This has been a lot more work than I ever imagined, and it isn't over. But my wife, Janey, has been very supportive and it is all going to work out well - regardless of how many show up. However, the initial indications are that there will be plenty, which will make it all worth it. We are glad we are doing it as a show/swap meet this year as it will make next year so much easier. And better. Heretofore it has been a gathering of friends at our house, but now we can meet so many more people. So we are looking forward to next year when we get to meet you and all the others from outside the States - like maybe Christian?
  11. I've had several of these trucks apart and haven't seen that patch on any of them. But, all of the ones I've taken apart were Stylesides. So, maybe it was on Flaresides? Dave/Fuzzface2? Have you seen that? There should be at least one Flareside at the show on Saturday, Cash's Carlos, so I'll check it out.
  12. You will have to be more specific. By "speaker cover" I suspect you mean #23864 as shown on Interior/Door Panels. If so, we need to know if you have manual windows vs power windows, and manual vs power door locks. Also, I think all of those will be Rosewood, but I'm not sure of that, so please tell us if that is what you need. As for the "seatbelt covers for the shoulder belts", I don't know which pieces you mean. Can you give us the number from the illustration on Interior/Seat Belts? And, what color?
  13. Yes, there is a ~3/8" difference between auto and manual transmission starters on the 300/Windsor starters. Oddly enough, not so for the 335 Series 351M/400. Don't understand why, but that's a fact, Jack. As for Bill, he's supposed to be here tomorrow. He and Chris have been visiting all sorts of old Ford buildings in Texas and Oklahoma, and I can't wait to see what they've found. Anyway, I hope things get sorted for you and all the others soon. Our son's in-laws live in Ocala and they are still w/o power as well. But, some people have it far worse.
  14. You can put your faith in the Advanced page, or you can put your faith in what Ford said: Engines/Starters. Just three clicks away when you are on a forum with integrated factory documentation. (How many forums can say that?) Yes, I'll bet it was crazy! I've been in intense storms, but nothing like the duration of that one. Wow! Hope you didn't have much damage. I'll bet Festus is earning his keep.
  15. Couldn't take it to the pound - it is owned by a church member. Just left it in the grass whimpering. Big Blue doesn't turn that low of R's given the T19. But, when the ZF5 goes in it'll get down to that. I will say that with a big mini-van on a trailer the T19's ratios are perfectly spaced. Start out in granny and zip right up to 4th, and it tows nicely on the highway in 4th.
  16. Go for it Jim, I'll follow along. Yes, that's a Smittybilt 12K winch w/a synthetic cable. Did the job with ease, even though the front wheels on the Dodge were angled, which caused the Dodge to turn somewhat sideways. But the winch said "you are coming to me" and never slowed down, even when the tires on the Dodge started rolling under.
  17. Someone left a broken-down Dodge truck (isn't "broken-down Dodge" redundant?) left in the church parking lot where the show is going to be on Saturday. No problem, Big Blue made short work of it, even when he was parked on grass and the Dodge was on pavement. He didn't even wiggle, much less slide, and I just had the parking brake set.
  18. Maybe you should tell us what you are looking for. I'm having a show and swap meet in Saturday, so....
  19. No, I don't have the other brochures. But if someone wants to send any to me I'll scan them and put them on the web site.
  20. Yipes! Any chance water got in the engine and hydro-locked it? And, I fully understand what you are running into. Fixing decades or layer upon layer of problems is a huge pain. Onion rings!
  21. Jonathan - I thought you were supposed to be driving now.
  22. Got the banners, arrow signs, and ballots yesterday. The banners are 3' x 8' and should be easy to see. The arrows will point to the entrance, which is around the corner. I think this thing may actually happen!
  23. Interesting. But the 1985 brochure appears to show that only the roof and not the door got the accent color. So, if that's true the paint schemes changed within the Bullnose era.
  24. The IAC is probably pulsed, so the ground is going on and off. And your test light thingee is pulsing, but so fast you can't see the pulses.
