  1. Jeff - Glad it worked on your Mini! But I'm going to tag Jim/Ardwrkntrk to see if it works on his Android as so far we have Windows and Apple devices tested. Jim - Does the video in this post work well on your device? In both landscape as well as portrait? If so we have a breakthrough, although not easily done.
  2. Let me document what I did. The HTML code I used was: But the Youtube embed code was: So what I did was to add: This before the embed code: Changed: width & height to "100%" and added style="position:absolute; top:0; left: 0"> at the end of the embed code Put this after the embed code:
  3. LOL! I'm doubting the "room" comment. I have an extra battery, two power distribution boxes, and an air cleaner box that I don't think you have - in the same size engine compartment. But I don't disagree on the underseat placement.
  4. I hope it goes well. VERY well. Please keep us apprised as to how it does go.
  5. Works on my iPhone 14 Pro Max! Both in landscape awa portrait mode. And it works on my Windows laptop! If it works as well on your Mini then I’ll have to figure out how to package it.
  6. Had a bit to play with it. I think I did it the way the 2nd one said, so let's see if this works. Please check it out, as I will, on mobile devices.
  7. This size is ok for horizontal, but still cropped in vertical phone orientation: I found this guide. The guy concludes this way: «Making a video follow its aspect ratio at all screen sizes is confusing, but luckily the code to do so is short and easy to extend.» Hopefully, Gary, you’ll see the easy side of this "Wrapping the iFrame in a container" demonstration better than me… This guy too discuss about resizing an iFrame. The final html code should look like this example: Thanks. I'll go read those articles, but it may not be until tomorrow. It would be nice if there is code that will determine the screen size from the user's device and then set the proper parameters. But even if we find it we'll have to explain how to use it and it'll be something that everyone that posts a video will have to add to the HTML code.
  8. I thought it might have been a lot easier than the engine hoist, and I'm used to working on a reasonably flat concrete floor. Can't imagine doing it on dirt. Well done!
  9. That looks not only like fun, but easy! Lots better than my shop crane. But how hard was it to position it exactly where you wanted it? That's the biggest issue with the shop crane.
  10. Yes, that IS good! It looks like a lot of blocks, but I'll bet they get used up quickly.
  11. OK, so these are the mysterious "p" "p" codes, it's for the carriage return. Thanks for the tip! And thanks so much for this user guide! (It makes me realize that younger people will probably be questioning about what is a «carriage» and why we should «return» it). «My-First-Posted-Video»: Oh yeah!!! So NIIIIIICE! Gary, about the mobile issue: I have to say that I prefer the smallest as possible device is my pocket (presently iPhone 13 Mini). I suppose that the problem isn't the same on a larger phone... Even with the smaller movie, it is still cropped on my mini phone (vertical and horizontal, although less in horizontal position): Too bad for the small phones! It is still possible to see the original movie directly on YouTube. Yep, that's where those codes come from. And yes, you can always go directly to Youtube to see the video if it is cropped on your screen. But there must be a way to put special coding into the HTML to utilize the size of the screen on which it is being displayed. That should solve that problem, so I'll see if I can figure out how to do that. In the interim I'll reduce the size by about 70% to see if it works on your phone.
  12. Well, not so fast on the "caught up" bit, Gary. We drove Big Blue a bit over 100 miles today checking out some of the places where Killers Of The Flower Moon was filmed, and I thoroughly enjoyed the huge, dramatic improvement in steering. In fact, there's a section of OK 11 that is both narrow and twisty and I was telling Janey how it used to be a white-knuckled bit. But today as I was threading that needle with one hand on the wheel we met a dump truck in the middle of one of the turns - no worries, mate! I also realized there was an additional benefit - a reduction in noise, probably due to the new lower steering column bearing stopping a rattle I've had. But that let me hear a squeak somewhere close to where the collar around the column hits the instrument bezel. So I do have another layer of the onion to peel, and you can read about that effort here.
  13. Drove Big Blue today and I'm still amazed at the huge improvement in steering. But there was another improvement as well - a reduction in noise. Apparently the replacement of the lower steering column bearing took out a rattle I'd had when going over bumps. But now I can hear a squeak somewhere in the steering column or lower dash. When I hold up or down on the steering wheel it goes away, as it does when I squeeze the plastic collar that goes around the column. I'm guessing that it is the interface between the collar and the instrument bezel, but wondered if any of y'all have had such a noise and fixed it? Or, do you have any suggestions?
  14. Nice truck, but $24,500 is a lot of money. Wonder what it sold for new?
  15. Yes, I'm guessing that whomever installed the balancer last just barely got the bolt started and tried to torque it to get the balancer to go in. Maybe it was cross-threaded or the balancer was cocked and didn't want to go in, but that pulled the first bit of the thread off the crank. But I don't think that is going to be a problem at all.
  16. Wow Gary, I have to apologize. You're right, nobody said that we cannot do it, I simply supposed it since I didn't find any way to do so.:nabble_smiley_blush:But nobody said that it can be done neither.:nabble_smiley_evil:You'll have to explain me how to link a YouTube movie... I search and don't find any way. What are these strange codes "p" "p" and "i/frame"? Have to enter them manually?:nabble_anim_confused:Be aware that the result may be impressive on a computer, it is terrible on a phone (vertical or horizontal), good on an horizontal pad but so-so on a vertical pad.And I have the bad idea to enter the Forum mainly by the phone door...Phone result (completely cropped): Here's how to do it: Go to the video and click the Share button. Then click the Embed buttonCopy the code that starts with ""Above the post box tick the "Message is in HTML Format box"Paste the embed code into the post box But since you are in the HTML format you don't get carriage returns, so if you want spaces between paragraphs you'll need to click the Formatting box and then the Line Feed box. And I doubled the embed code's width and height numbers, which may be causing part of the problem when entering via the Mobile door. So I didn't change the #'s on this one and let's see how it works.
  17. Today I finished up several things. But the main thing was the installation of the new Blue Top steering box. Not only did the new box make a dramatic difference in the steering, I discovered that it was at least one source of the leak I've been having. Another was the separation of the air inlet tube to the EFI from the line into the A/C compressor. Those two have been rubbing against each other and had worn completely through the insulation down to the A/C pipe. Last, while I was moving the EFI inlet away from the A/C pipe I dropped a bolt that sounded like it went to the left front of the truck where the horn is. So after finishing the job I went looking for the bolt and found one - just like it but not "it". So I looked farther and found "it" as well. I'm guessing the first bolt I found has been in there since I put the EFI on, so several thousand miles. Anyway, I think I'm caught up for projects on the truck for the moment and will move on to cleaning up the shop.
  18. As it turns out I lowered the outboard end of the air box, which raised the inboard end. As you can see in the pic on the left I circled the bolt I added, which screws into a nutsert I put in the bracket the air box sits in. And in the pic on the right you can see that there's light coming through the gap between the inlet tube and the A/C compressor's discharge line. There's only about a 1/8" gap, but that's far better than having the inlet tube resting on the A/C line. So I think the problem has been solved.
  19. Update: When I went out to the shop this morning I found ATF on the work bench right by the old steering box. But, I'd plugged the inlet & outlet ports. Then I realized the leak had been from the output shaft seal. So, not only did the BT box cure the steering problems it also fixed the leak that I thought was from the return lines.
  20. Yes, on all counts. The EEC-V system on Big Blue knows when the A/C compressor comes on and is capable of bringing the idle speed up to compensate. But it doesn't have to as you can't tell when the compressor engages.
