Yes, it is easy to think "I can do that" when looking at something to restify, but when you get down to the nitty gritty details sometimes the going gets tough. Some times you find an engine that's worn out but you'd planned on using it. Or a bent frame. Or....... So you have to pick your wars, not battles, carefully. Glad you picked one that seems to fit nicely. As for being near Skiatook, you were probably on US75 when you saw the sign. That's not far from here, but when you need to make time it is understandable that you went on.

Got it, Paul. Look forward to seeing you!

Very nice. And cheap too. -
Thanks for the info on the rivets Gary, that's great. I have some 1/8" rivets on hand. The seal kit is this one listed below...and I got the part number right here on the Garagemahal. There were a couple other members that installed it with good reviews. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Fairchild-Industries-Belt-Weatherstrip-Window-Channel-Door-Seal-Kit-KF1006-13/223328872772?fits=Year%3A1980%7CModel%3AF-150%7CMake%3AFord&epid=251046394&_trkparms=ispr%3D1&hash=item33ff702944:g:eZsAAOSwbjNcP6vQ&enc=AQAEAAAB8BPxNw%2BVj6nta7CKEs3N0qWXbER2eXBJ0OPsPalk%2FNvOLZMye9%2FjL%2BUDzdJnDGcZNz7bcFavP5PIJm0SMHJ3pmnfDmTvgxOmHKjPbrrY0r6vKTJ90PKKACso2iUeBCI9jxQODuRkAXgs54h1ecq1gJs2Yywl%2FfkUXgmls58f4CbuJfXKZu7YXxXgzuWeboRRiyfeZjPSFV65yLa5dvzyPFJImtdVN6eHct5%2BtDWhHUdjuLoys82BvgRb2f%2BVZRjMQtAwqXmI7uEwUshDcLdaPDhz397NflAPS%2Fho4UUM5YLqDBJjrA7kd2UHB0Z0JYNL0Obzcm1Vc2eQZk5BLkGn1ti395KTT2fSYq%2FnTFTOxNUxGj%2BNWrYVwA5Y67DJ7gKBWi8nrHWA1Jz%2BilQ8uEa1Z07Zudp2cdkxBBDElpXWy4f2%2F%2Bq%2FogKSqr1N%2B3D5xfntv%2FWmXuuYkw6nwIyY5xwaFpbWJFIGVoQgW4OFR3%2FVcQuQrCG8ZPr7kaa8yLfhLfHZ7JvfIVRjs3fNULqyDLMEMie6MXCp4pELmOZDwPBnU9AXDnpMEj5vxv%2B6fctCA2oxY3Mlv18Lml6OiWE97YrACg2ZPJ7THES%2Fgxh2%2B8UXRGFtICVoLD%2FWoFIK%2Bcdxgud6hgK1vmo7%2BIsHVymhT33w0Gs%3D&checksum=2233288727720f737415accb4f2caa60026d5abf69ed Guess I forgot.

Watched it last night. Pretty cute. In that Youtube, at 20+ seconds you can see what I think is the underhood tool box. And late in the movie a lady is explaining why she doesn't think he stole the money - he drives an '83 Ford pickup.

Every time someone says "Hi, my name is..." I think of AA. Or is that FA? On the temp sender, the wire to it is red with a white stripe. And, I think on the 351M & 400 the sender is in the block on the passenger's side by the water pump. (I'd go look at Dad's truck, but it doesn't have the sender in yet.) And, I think there's an unused plug in the same area that works well for an aftermarket gauge. I've always put the two senders into different ports to ensure both are in moving coolant. But someone on here used a tee to do that and got a good reading for his gauges, so you could go that way. As for the oil pressure sender, it is on the back of the engine just behind the intake manifold. And you can easily use a tee for that and put the existing sender on one side of the tee and the aftermarket one on the other side. Oh yes, the wire to that sending unit is white with a red stripe.

Sounds like they are doing you a good job. That's great, and the truck will be a stunner. If I remember correctly, the only adhesive needed for the door seals is for the extra one on the top of the door, and they usually come with adhesive tape on them. As for the piece that goes on the door panel, do not staple them. That is likely to break the door panel. DAHIK. Instead, use small pop rivets. And let us know what you think of that brand of seals. I've not heard of it.

WHYDTYTT: What Have You Done To Your Truck Today?

Yes, I just used a little plastic ice cream container with some warm water in it. The SOS pads do quite a job all on their own...there's not much improvement with the polish after that, but they sure turned out nice for crappy old parts. This old truck is seriously over budget this year, so I have to make do with the bumpers I have for the time being. Truth be told, I don't mind a little bit of patina on the bumpers...it will give the truck some character. PLEASE don't talk about there being a budget! Janey might read this! Seriously though, those bumpers do look good. They'll look great on the truck, and the truck itself is going to look wonderful. -

Was just wondering what it would be like as a Bullnose. -
Yes, good job! I like this story, especially because it doesn't seem to be too full of surprises and appears to be headed to a happy ending. And, it looks like the ending is going to involve a big party. SOON! My back yard huh? Next time tell me and I'll meet you there.

You got lucky on the torque converter's drain. Let's hope you get equally lucky on removing the pan w/o taking a shower. -
I like them, Scott!

Cool! -
A wise man once said "A man's got to know his limitations." And, while I can weld, when it comes to important stuff I call in a pro as well.

Looking good! How did the retaining nut turn out? Did you install it, clamp it, and tak it? Wanting to learn.

You have a good point. It is nice to openly discuss things without worrying about hurting a member’s feelings if something is incorrectly listed or poorly priced. -

Does he have a lot of Bullnose stuff to sell? Perhaps he needs to be a member? Maybe we need a vendor section? -
Oh. I was referring to the ex-con I see. Shaken, not stirred?

Looks like it is on Amazon Prime, so I think we'll watch it tonight. But who's the Brit in it? Seems vaguely familiar.

You are now, quite literally, on the map!
-
Welcome! I like someone who likes to go by their name. We are a small group, but very friendly. Glad you are here. We have a member's map (Bullnose Forum/Member's Map in the menu), and I'd be happy to add you to it if you'd like. As for your truck, you'll want to start a thread in the main section about it. But I'm loving it already as I'm a big fan of the 400. How 'bout some pic? The instructions on how to post pics are in Bullnose Forum/Forum FAQ's if you have trouble.

Yikes! You could swim in that! -
Agree on the politics. But, I love the adjustable link. Well done! So, do you have the new bracket made? In other words, how close are you to having this thing wrapped up?
