  1. I don't have an Android device to check, but on my Windows computers the only way it works for me is to:Click on the picture you want to make it show up to the right as shown below Move the curser over the picture on the right and a magnifying glass with a + shows up Left click to zoom in on the picture Right click to pop up that menu Left click on "Copy image address"
  2. David - I first click the + button to zoom in on it, and then right-click and copy image address. Jim - Thanks. Just wanted David to know how I do it.
  3. I will. She's cooperating pretty well. Hope things go well for you also.
  4. Man, that sounds painful! But at least you are making some progress. Here's hoping it continues.
  5. Ray - I don't measure it around town, but I'm sure it would be far worse than 11. Jim - I'm a grandpa and drive like one.
  6. I agree with Jim. If that doesn't work I still think you have a timing problem. At least I've had similar symptoms with timing problems - like being 180 out or having the wrong firing order.
  7. Yikes! I can get that consistently with Big Blue at 65 MPH on cruise, and can get 12 feeding it manually. I think you may have a bit of MPG left on the table.
  8. Just realized I didn't have the wiring diagram for the Code Alarm security system in the folder. It is now and is also in the first post of this thread - which may be the world's longest post. But at least I know where to find the documents. (I was a little worried that my secret security trick would be exposed with the security system documented, but I don't think it is very obvious. )
  9. Cool! Glad you were able to get it in there.
  10. Make sure you have the right firing order and that the timing is on the compression stroke.
  11. Thanks, Jim. Yes, it is sure hard on her quilting as she can't even read right now. She has a shield on the right eye that prevents her from even using her glasses. So now she has to use a magnifying glass to read anything. But I am doing my best to take good care of her. She's the best thing that ever happened to me, so I'm doing my best.
  12. Glad it worked on the wheel. I haven't tried it on anything else, but should. I just looked and I put it on my wheel on Nov 13, 2022. So it has been over a year and it is still doing pretty well. However for our trip to Moab in June I'll re-coat it to make sure.
  13. No problem, Mike. As Jim said, it happens all the time. And some of our best members have missed the message. As for the pickup in the dizzy, they can easily cause all kinds of wonky behavior. One such is to shift the timing enough that the engine will barely run and won't pull anything. Jim - Thanks. She's home now and resting. The gel was pulling the macula away from the retina so they removed the gel and put a bubble in that pushes the macula back in place to let it heal. But she has to look down for around 3 weeks and won't be able to see much through that eye during that time as she's looking through the bubble.
  14. Welcome, Mike! Glad you joined and thanks for reading the guidelines.
  15. Welcome! Glad you joined. And Jim is right - we can't fix the forum but need to fix our verbiage about the joining process. I hope to tackle that soon. We have a map (Bullnose Forum/Member's Map) and would be happy to put you on it if we had a city or a zip.
  16. Janey is in surgery as I type. Eye surgery. We were up at 3:45 our time and she was in the pre-op room at 5:30.
  17. That’s exactly my point. Since these trucks have north/south engines they lend themselves to a mechanically-driven fan. Much more efficient than changing from one form of energy to another and then back again. But the mechanical-viscous fan clutches we have aren’t the most efficient as they never fully quit blowing. Nor do they go to 100% of engine speed so don’t cool as well as they could. Supposedly the electro-viscous clutches do fully coast as well as go to full engine speed so not only are more efficient but they also cool better.
  18. Mike - I’m glad you joined. But you may have missed the note asking you to post an introduction in the New Members Start Here folder before posting elsewhere. We do that because we house the guidelines there and want to ensure you see them since you will be held to them. So please assure us you’ve read them? As for your problem, that sounds like a spark problem and if you’ve swapped the DS-II module with no change then it is probably the pickup module in the distributor. Both of those items are apt to fail and give symptoms like those you are seeing.
  19. In your case, Jim, you are right. But others have been discussing using electric fans and I thought this was an interesting approach that I'd not heard of. So I did more reading and found this article: Use of electronic viscous drive to optimize fan duty cycle. I've not read all of it by any means, but I did see this summary: So I'm going to read more to see how that is achieved and what the advantages or disadvantages are. But it would seem that it has to be a better approach than turning mechanical energy into electric energy and then turning electric energy back into mechanical energy.
  20. Messaged with him on FB and got this response: So this isn't going to work for Big Blue, at least not at the moment. But it might for some of the shorter/smaller engines if a 4-bolt-to-thread-on adapter were made. And I found this to explain how the clutches work:
  21. I saw the following on Facebook this evening and thought it was interesting so wanted to share with y'all. Please share your thoughts. But I am attempting to contact Ron to get more info.
  22. It is time. But I wanted to get the documentation on Big Blue done 'cause I want to duplicate some of it for Dad's truck.
  23. I think you may have one cell that isn't up to snuff. Have you checked the water levels? And do you have a hygrometer so you can check the specific gravity? That might tell you if you do have a low cell and which one.
