  1. Recently I had a guy on Facebook tell me there is no place on the internet with information regarding such and so on a Bullnose truck. I told him that I begged to differ and gave him a link right to what he was looking for. He was happy but said that his searches had not turned up our site. Given that I'm thinking it is time that we spend a bit of effort getting the search engines to find us. So I'm hoping that one or more of you are Search Engine Optimization gurus and can help us become known on the internet.
  2. Go check out the Videos tab on the 2024 truck show page. Just added an interviews video.
  3. Bob - Welcome! However, this isn't the place for posting that you are looking for a tailgate. This is for introductions. There's nothing that says you cannot announce that you are looking for a tailgate in the New Members Start Here folder. But not everyone monitors this folder so the audience is limited. Instead, please tell us about yourself and your truck. Like, where's home? We have a map and can add you if you know the city/state or zip/postal code. And for maximum visibility go post in Home/Marketplace Want To Buy and start a thread there about your tailgate.
  4. Some of us have engines, or parts thereof, from Scotty The Mad Porter at Parkland Auto Machine. Saw this on Facebook and thought I'd share it. The engine in Big Blue has a short block built by Scotty. And oddly enough, the heads were done by Eric Weingartner, who has also competed in the Engine Masters, as discussed here in Motor Trend.
  5. You are now on the map. As for the racing Cortinas, I've seen a lot of video showing them to be very competitive.
  6. Brian - I made a mistake in the setup as guests are not supposed to be able to post here. That's been fixed now. But if you want to join and be part of our community we'll do our best to answer the question.
  7. I think it looks good, Chris, on both my Windows machine and my iPhone. Thanks!
  8. Right. And by being embedded they have all the documentation available, which is a lot of what we are about.
  9. Jeff - The fees are annual, but they are spread all across the calendar. I do need to work on the list and get it posted.
  10. @BigBrother-84 - You suggested, via email, that we clean up the main page. Unfortunately we have a bit of a problem there since there is no way to toggle the "descriptions" on or off. In other words, if we have descriptions for the forums/sub-forums they will show there. And we need descriptions on many of them. For instance, the description for NMSH explains to the new member that s/he MUST create an introduction. So w/o the description s/he would be lost, not able to post anywhere else nor reply, but not knowing that all they have to create an intro. However, on a desktop you can go to the blue ribbon and click on Activity and then maybe All Activity and you'll just see the new stuff. (And I see you asked me a question to which I've not replied.) And on a phone there's a button for that as well.
  11. Yep, that was very common back when they introduced the HEI system. The vendors had to upgrade the caps and rotors, quickly.
  12. I doubt Janey would put up with two of me. One is a stretch. 😇
  13. Another feature I find fascinating is that this new platform gives the admins and moderators lots of info, including the people who are online at any given time. Just looked and we had 32 people online, one of which was @1986F150Six, who was looking at the online users list. David - did you see me looking at you looking at me? And not only does it give right-now info, it gives charts. I had no idea we had that many guests visiting the forum!
  14. Welcome, David! Jeff - My signature and avatar pic came over automagically. Didn't have to do a thing.
  15. Franklin has had a whole bunch of people trying to take over his site. He's made change after change to Nabble, some of which really hurt us, and still has people using it nefariously every day. Yes, his statement showed a lot of frustration. And I liked Nabble, albeit antiquated by these standards.
  16. Glad you joined. Would you be interested in being on our map. You can see it on our page at Bullnose Forum & Member’s Map. Just need a city/state or zip.
  17. Got it. Thanks! (I "thanked" you as well. Need to see how that works and maybe it'll cut down some on the traffic.)
  18. And Scott having "liked" the post above reminds me of a new feature we have - the ability to "like" a post. Specifically you can thank someone, laugh at a post, show confusion, show sadness, or like it.
  19. Let's try both for a while. InVision's might have more detail. Thanks!
  20. Ok, that has changed. I've set it up so that the default is that you are following anything you create or reply to. And the default notification is via email. You can edit that if you wish.
  21. @ckuske - Can you take a look at Jeff's suggestion? I think I see those in the header on Weebly, which is in Settings/SEO. But I'm not sure I should play with that. And while you are at it maybe you should look at the footer? We have Google capturing stats, but I think there is a way to do that also on Invision.
  22. Jeff - I'll see what I can do. I think they are in a header on Weebly.
  23. Guys - I've found a few things and changed a few things. But some of them may warrant their own threads, so I'd like your input: I added some formatting buttons to the tool bar for "large" devices, like desktops, laptops, and this tablet. But can edit for "medium" and "small" if you like Right now default for "following" so you get notified is off. So even if you create a topic or reply to a topic you won't get notified if someone else comments. But if you click your name in the upper right you can choose "Automatically follow new content I post" and/or "Automatically follow content I reply to". I'm hoping to set those to "on" automatically and then let you turn them off if you want. If you want to tag someone just type the "@" symbol followed by the first few characters of his/her handle and it'll pop up a list of matching handles. Pick the one you want and that person will get notified in whatever fashion they've chosen. And using that option, @kramttocs has found a way to open the forum in a new browser tab w/o the menu for Weebly. Might have some advantages, so maybe he'll fill us in?
