Tilt Wheel Conversion

Danny G
Is this just a straight forward swap or are there other considerations? Unless I lower the bench in my truck or get a lower aftermarket seat, my legs rub the wheel and I would like to alleviate that.

It is bolt-in.  All of the electrical connections are the same, the steering wheels are the same, the lower steering shafts, etc.

The only thing you want to make sure of is that the tilt column you get isn't broken.  There's a piece in them that is known to break, and the repair is described here: Documentation/Interior/Steering Columns.

I did the conversion on my truck.  Bolts right on. The only thing different on my truck eas the plastic trim that installs around the column below the shifter. Try to get that piece when you get your column.
