500$F-150
Hello to all,
Last month I purchased a 1982 F-150 XLT Lariat, for $500. It has 67,000 miles and It was “running” when it was parked.
There was an electrical issue that I could not locate so I towed it to a garage and for an additional $500. They figured it out and she is running. Not running well but it’s a start.
I purchased the truck for my 22 year old son as a project that we could work on together.
Neither of us is a motor head, so we have been relying on google searches and Haynes manuals for our guide. This website has been a blessing as there is lots of useful information.
I’ll make a post in the project section, add photos and such.
We are located in Gilbert AZ.

Cheers

Welcome!

$500 for an electrical issue seems steep, but if it is fixed that's good.

And glad the site is helping.  That's what exactly what it is for.  In addition, the folks on here will be a big help as well.

Gilbert, AZ?  We have a member's map (Bullnose Forum/Member's Map).  Would you like to be on it?

Ahhh!  That might have been $500 well spent.

And, by the way, you are now on the map.
