3-on-the-tree!
That's one you don't see any more.

Excited for you.
It is always great to get a vehicle back running like a top.

For some reason, the PO took the F-O-R-D letters off of the hood.  They gave them to me in a bag.  They were still very nice.  The plastic sleeves were still in the holes on the hood.  Voila!  Good as new.

Before:

After:

I got rid of the front license plate too.  The PO spray painted it white.  He spray painted a lot of things white which I'll be cleaning up.

Another thing the PO spray painted white.  The horn cover.  I started cleaning it with lacquer thinner.  A tedious process.  Will post pic when done.

The FORD letters look good on there!

Keep him away from the white paint!

Lookin good! I like the hood letters.

As for the 3 speed column shift, I have one in my 55 Dodge and it even has a floor stomp starter.

Thanks Gary.  I love it already.  Drove it home from the PO's house yesterday and it was an hour ride.  Had it up to 77MPH on the freeway.  It drove and rode great.

Here's a pic of the horn cover cleaned up.  I used Lacquer Thinner and a small bristle brush. Then Purple Power and water.  Finally, a spritz of Armor All.  Not great, but not white.  Top of it is not white, but daylight makes it look that way.

Looks great!  I think you are going to be doing a lot of the TLC on it, but it will be well worth it in the end.

Maybe a reaction to the 'murdered out' craze we saw a few years back?

White must be angelic or 'pure'.

I guess the PO can afford a $.99 can of spray paint but not the $4 roll of blue tape?

Just got my Marti report.  Realized that there was no AM radio or bumper.  The only extra-cost options were the cloth/vinyl seat and power steering.  And one no-cost option, the exterior sound package.  The tires listed were standard.

So no radio on the Marti report makes some sense of my Bezel. A pic of how it looked before I took it apart, a pic of the 2 pieces, and a pic of the part number. Determines that it is a radio delete bezel that someone drilled/cut out to install a radio.  If it wasn't for the bezel job, you would think that it came stock.  Radio, speaker, and antenna look factory.

Found my buildsheet.  Part of it was stuck to the floor.  I've pulled many buildsheets out, but couldn't save part of it. I wet it, but to no avail.

Sorry, but that's the one that is in many, many strips.  Didn't take it out of the seat as it would fall to bits.  Don't think I even took a pic.
