That pesky time zone thing rears its ugly head.
Maybe we should be like China?
Many time zones, one time.

Bump... Did the gentleman named Trent have a chance to pass along the dimensions of the OEM behind the seat organizer by chance?!?  I started hacking on some plywood today based upon the dimensions of the fiberglass one in this thread and on the forum link.

I don't know about Trent, but I have one with most of the measuring done.  Will post up the dimensions tomorrow.

I have some measurements, but will try to draw it up later this evening:

53 1/2" wide x 15" high x 6 1/2" deep at base to 2 3/4" at top.  But, it doesn't start angling for the first 3"

Main compartment is 41 5/8" wide & the right compartment is 11 5/8" wide

Bottom shelf is 6 1/2" high w/a 2" lip in front

Middle shelf is 6 1/4" high w/a 2" lip

Top shelf has a 2" lip and its compartments are 8"; 12"; 11 3/4"; & 8" wide from right to left

Most walls and dividers are 1/4" thick, but bottom lip is 7/16" thick and the bottom plate is 3/8" thick

Here's a first pass at it.  There's a glitch in the size of the little trays in the top that I hope to sort out tomorrow.  But overall I think it is close.

Please let me know what would help you.  And do you need a file to download?  If so, what kind?

Looks good, how did the original attach in the truck did it just simply sit there?  Or was it bolted in place?

With the exterior dimensions one could easily adapt it to replicate the other storage racks shown on here such as the one with the fishing rod rack or the locking gun cabinet.

Something I would consider doing myself could take and make it out of the same wood I use in the bed on my truck and stain it the same way.

It originally was held in with Velcro.  But I'm bolting mine down.

Wonder how well velcro would hold against the carpet I have glued on the back side of my cab.  Would only have to put velcro on the shelf itself as it should grab the fuzzy carpet.  I really dont like the thought of bolting it down just cause I hate the thought of drilling holes in my own vehicles but I dont have a problem drilling holes in customers vehicles lol.

Hmmm, I may set this up on the Plasma cutter, but make the width in two pieces (with a flange) for cheaper shipping...

I think you could sell them, Ron.  But there's a mistake in my measurements, so let me figure that out.....

Ron - See if that helps. And, I've embedded the jpg file here so if I change it this will change.

Also, note that the height of the shelves shown doesn't include the "floor" of the unit or of the shelves. Just the outside dimensions. Does that make sense?

Is it just my phone that is making this look condensed?

In the front elevation the 2" ledge height makes it seem the overall width is under 30" and the end view the 3" height is nearly the same as the 6 1/2" depth.

I can understand it, but the way I 'see' it is disorienting.

Jim - Let's see if the normal way of inserting an image works better. And it sure looks better to me.

Here's the normal way: And here's the embedded version:

TYVM for showing me it's an artefact of having it essentially hotlinked, and not just an Android won't play with Windows thing.

While I could understand what your drawing showed, for someone like me it is a lot easier to get a sense of the proportions when it's to scale.

I DO appreciate that.

What I thought was horizontal compression turns out to be a vertical stretch. 💡
