Hi guys,

I just found one of these carb spacers online and bought it for $25 plus shipping from a transmission shop in Detroit. So, to clarify the part numbers in case anyone else is searching for one:

Part name on box: Carb Spacer

Part number on the box: D9TZ9A589K

Other part number on the box: Motorcraft CM-3534

Part casting number: D9TE-9A589-HA

Other potential part or casting numbers for these that I have come across in my research are: E4TZ-9A589H, D5TE-9A589-BB, D7TZ-9A589-H, and Motorcraft CM-2416.

Good find, and good info. The MPC says it fits 80/86 E-F-U150/350 - - w/leaded fuel & a 300/4.9L.

Another option to elegantly delete the bulky EGR-equiped carb spacer would be to install the (Canada?) version intake manifold that lacks the smog hole, then you could use the Jeep phenolic carb spacer (Crown 53000616) mentioned earlier in this thread. It is 3/4" thick whereas the stock spacer is ~1" thick - maybe close enough to work.

Intake manifold that lacks the smog hole (Canada?) part number: D7TZ-9424-M

Casting #: RFE5TE-9425-F11A(?)

Apparently that one was used more than just in Canada. And the number on it can also be E5JE 9425-CA. (There are frequently multiple ID or casting numbers that cross to a single part number.)

I had one of these spacers on a Canadian 1986 300/I6 engine. Here's some information below if its any different than what has already been posted.
