Our 86 1/2 F150 Doing everything ourself

Recommended Posts

Fords doing what they do best. In this one we had to move this 1960 Fleetside to get access to the 1965 Malibu. The Fleetside was guarding the door to the barn where the Malibu was stashed. Brought the Fleetside back that day to be restored.

Took the Malibu to storage that day and went back to get it months later so it can be restored.

Back the day, had 2 460 engines in the bed towing a trailer with a 69 GTX. A friend was in his fathers Dodge Ram with 2 440 blocks in the back, the Dodge died, the truck pushed the Dodge with the engines in the back, the engines in the back of ours with the GTX on the trailer and did not strain 1 bit.

That 300 is a real workhorse. 💪

From stationary irrigation pumps to farm trucks, it just does the job without complaint (for years and years)

yep, something has to be said about an engine that displaces the same amount of torque at idle as it does at redline and everywhere in between

Nick used to work at a traveling carnival. there generator was powered by a 300, the generator part went out and they had to borrow a generator with a Chevy 454, that generator couldn't do jack compared to the 300

As for "back in the day", those were my days. In fact, I have a '69 Bee, sorta the little brother to the GTX, although they are Dodge and Plymouth, in that order.

Welcome to the group! The 300 is a gentle giant and has a “personality” that I really like. You are doing a nice job with your truck 👍
