Welcome! :nabble_anim_handshake:

Nice truck. (I posted it by clicking the "Big Size" option in the pop-up menu as your file is larger than the 1 Mb max.) You'll have to start a thread about it in the main section.

So, what part of Louisiana are you in? We have a map (Bullnose Forum/Member's Map in the menu) and I'd be happy to add you if I had a town.

Hello everyone. Finally got back into Ford trucks again. Picked up a 1984 F150 about 6 months ago. Very good body. Decent interior. Wiring is in very bad condition. 20181103_151225.jpg

Welcome aboard Frogger! Gorgeous truck! I love Flaresides....I have the same truck in blue...also a 1984.

Can't wait to hear more about it.

If we can help with the wiring, just shout.

Welcome to the Flareside Owners Group! :nabble_waving_orig:

😉

I am located in Baton Rouge. I waited for this guy to sell the truck for about a year.

The wiring was really bad. What was still there was patched together and in really bad shape.

Started over with an after market harness. Everything is complete and working except the a/ac and heater system. This wiring was completly missing when i got the truck.

You are now on the map!

What harness did you use? Lots of people are wanting to know if a new harness is available.

Well you'll probably be able to help out a lot of people because the question comes up fairly often about where to buy a new wiring harness for these trucks. The wiring in my '84 is pretty nice, but Bullnoses with the wiring all hacked up seem to be pretty common.

I did not go back with a stock type harness.

I used the Ron Francis express series.

Aftermarket gauges, one wire altenator and hei distributor.

The biggest challange is getting the new wires routed where you want them.

Overall it is a pretty good kit.

I just moved from New Orleans, worked occasionally in Baton Rouge over the years. The classic fords in good shape are a hot commodity down there. You got a nice one!
