WHYDTYTT: What Have You Done To Your Truck Today?

Recommended Posts

I figured it was an autocorrect problem, but assumed that it had to be something close to "coin". Never would have guessed "find". :nabble_smiley_oh_no:

On the circuit, if you can jumper from near the connector to near the bulb it might work for a while. How different are the '87 circuits?

'87 is a one year wonder because it has the resistor across the charge warning bulb holder.

But I can use an E8TZ piece.

It has the resistor on the flex itself.

Now if I can find my way through that damned LMC online catalog.

I'm ready to throw my phone across the room!

Here are the #'s. I'm not finding them in searches so far. And I know full well what you mean about the LMC catalog. But I'll look for you.

Here are the pages from the latest LMC catalog that have to do with "Dashboard". And while I see the Bullnose gauge circuit I do not see the Bricknose. Sorry.

Why should you apologize???I thank you for taking the time to post these! 👍Maybe cross post to the other thread as well?

Mark, did you coat your floor pan with something? Looks good, can I ask what it is?

I don't know what he used but I used Dupli color bed liner, 2 coats top and bottom of the floor rolled on.

On my ribbed metal bed floor it had line X on it and to freshen it up I did 1 coat of the same Dupli color liner. It still looks pretty good after 1 year.

Hi all, circling back on my gas tank leak and sending unit not working . Here is the camera I got.

DEPSTECH Wireless Endoscope, IP67 Waterproof WiFi Borescope Inspection 2.0 Megapixels HD Snake Camera for Android and iOS Smartphone, iPhone, Samsung, Tablet -Black(11.5FT) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MYTHWK4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glc_fabc_v7J1FbXT86P6B?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

Works great and it’s very simple.

Issue is the tank spills fuel down when I fill it till the gas nozzle clicks off.

Here are some pics of the top of the gas tank while I was sitting under the truck. Still have to try and lower it to see what’s up .

I believe I have found the culprit! Not sure what this is but I am guessing a vent valve for pressure that builds up in the tank?

Also explains why it smells like gas when you walk by the truck.
