  1. Logged in successfully. Had to use the reset password function, and it worked just fine. Will try posting a picture or two. Best dog ever in my 85 F250: Rearranged some vehicles to cut some grass, first time all 7 Fords have been in one pic: If the pictures posting works, the ability to drag and drop while on a computer was was better than previously.
  2. Very interesting 1986 F350 4x4 camper in AL. $36k. https://www.cars.com/vehicledetail/a9fb3368-0a27-4222-9ce5-b7cfd0b7dfed/ 1983 F100 stakebody with a flareside tailgate in NC. $10k. https://www.cars.com/vehicledetail/c51cb1f5-6c2b-4eb4-ba47-63647cab5207/ 1981 customized flareside. I'm not a fan of this one, but I thought it was odd enough to post it here. $15,750 in VA. https://www.cars.com/vehicledetail/55900dcb-e27b-484c-b706-bc078d1ce43b/
  3. Man that's a 5 dollar word. I had to google "exsanguinate." Kudos if you're actually able to retain words like that. I've tried, but just can't seem to recall them.
  4. I have one that looks like this now. It always seems like a crap shoot if any of the tools work though. Sometimes it works flawlessly, and other times it seems like nothing will work. There are two different style clips if I remember correctly. https://www.amazon.com/Professional-Double-Sided-Windshield-Configurations-Removing/dp/B0BLCXNKK6
  5. I looked it up and confirmed that it is defined as 4" (edit - SQUAT) in MS. MS usually is pretty lenient on vehicle laws, we have no emissions and no annual inspections. Tinted windshields and front windows were a problem with law enforcement when those laws first came out, but I'm not aware of that being enforced much, if at all, anymore. It could be that we have a lot of squatted vehicles. And I mean a lot. Drive past any high school parking lot, or the local car wash/Sonic hangouts, and they're everywhere. And like I said, I do think it's a dumb trend that looks incredibly stupid. But I'm not sure how I feel about a law banning it. Who's to say someone one day won't decide that anything that deviates from a factory setting would be banned? I have oversized tires on one truck, a slightly lowered Chevelle, non-factory exhaust including no cats on more than one vehicle. And back to the original subject, I want to have a lowered bullnose similar to the stance of the brown truck above.
  6. I've had good luck with the cheap rotors and drums from RockAuto and other parts stores over the years. Based on my good experience, I would only consider taking drums or rotors to get turned if replacements weren't readily and cheaply available. But I do keep the old original ones just in case. I don't know why. I've also even taken an angle grinder and knocked the lip off the end of worn rotors and drums, which I'm sure isn't recommended. If it was me and they aren't terrible, I'd reuse them.
  7. I'm 40, and I like a forward rake too. Anything is better than the "Carolina Squat." MS recently banned the squat in July and I think defined it as the front having more than 4" height relative to the rear. As dumb as I think the squat looks, I'm not sure how I feel about a law against it. Who's to say what they'll ban next? I'm interested in the drop beams for my 95 to Bullnose flareside project whenever I get around to it. I like the look of those steelie wheels also. Will be following this post to see what others have done!
  8. I'm a little late to this. That bumper sure looks correct. What is the distance between the circled bolts? Those are the ones that should line up to your frame.
  9. Just for clarification, if you're talking about the numbers that I posted, those were for the Husky 43803 springs that I bought. The Husky 43803 have a 2810# rating. I did see these listed on RockAuto for an 83 F150 with the 5.8: HUSKY SPRING 43965 Includes Bushings For Both Ends; 1655 lb Load Rating Info One of our most popular parts Rear; 4WD; 3/1 = 4 Leaf, w/ 32-1/2" Back Half Spring Length (Only 2 Remaining) And if you click on Info, you get measurements and OEM cross reference numbers: https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=6402285&cc=1121375&pt=7544&jsn=1088
  10. I bought Husky springs from RockAuto in 2017 and put them on my F250. I wanted a little stiffer spring, so I got ones that were rated higher. It looks like RockAuto has some 1655#, 1700#, and up available. No complaints about the Husky springs to date, although the truck only sees occasional use and towing. On RockAuto's site, the Husky springs that I put on my 2wd F250 do have an part number interchange listing, so you may be able to locate the Ford part numbers in the catalog for your truck: OEM / Interchange Numbers: 20260, 431111, E3TA5560UA, E3TAUA, E3TZ5560M, E4TA5560SA, E4TASA
  11. I recently changed my 86 inline 300 to an HEI distributor since the original feedback carb was already gone when I got the truck. Boy, having a distributor that advances sure made a difference. But what I haven't done yet is remove all the unnecessary wiring. There appears to be a lot that can be removed, but it seemed like intermixed in there was stuff that needed to stay. Are you saying that on an 86 truck, if I've switched to a regular carb and DSII or HEI, all of the wiring out of that oval hole can just be removed from under the hood?
  12. https://www.maplemotors.com/inventory/5134/info.php 6 Cylinder engine, 4-speed manual transmission, power steering, power disc brakes, air conditioning, aftermarket tach, factory gauges, tool box, grille guard, 16" steel wheels with hubcaps and 285/75/16 M/T tires. $6950 This site has a lot of pictures if you click the additional link on each vehicle's page. Located a little north of Nashville.
  13. I actually have a few Mercedes branded worm style hose clamps on a few of my Fords. I parted out an 83 Mercedes diesel car one time, and the hose clamps seemed such good quality that I saved every one of them.
  14. Interesting thread on hose clamps. Y'all are making me feel ashamed of all the worm gear hardware store clamps I have. I usually despise the constant tension clamps on my 2000 F350, but it's mostly due to not having the dedicated pair of pliers for them now that I see that such a thing exists.
  15. No not at all. It looks great. I’m glad you posted it here, this thread will be a reference for the future if someone wants to see different tailgate color combos.
