  1. The clam burger was pretty gnarly...lol, lots of chewing to get through it. The scallop burger was on point though...nice big scallops enough so that you got a big fat one in every bite. They had shrimp burgers and lobster burgers on the menu, but I haven't tried them yet. They close around Christmas and won't be open again until April or so, so I guess it'll be next year.
  2. This was lunch on the road yesterday for you guys that like regional foods haha. Clam burger on the left and a scallop burger on the right. I held off on the fries haha.
  3. I see that now. Wow. $32k for a 96 Bronco, $60k for a 79 Bronco, and $75k for an 85 Silverado? He's got to be exporting them. My guess is you won't see this Bullnose again.
  4. So originally there were exhaust gasses plumbed to this port via a tube from the manifold? I suppose I could rig something up, as the original line is long gone now.
  5. Well, you could build a really nice truck for THAT kind of money surely...
  6. Ok, so I bought another YF copy from Amazon, and I suppose I should have asked before I ordered, but what is supposed to connect to the little brass fitting on the choke? Can I just leave this open? I will likely be installing a manual cable anyway...
  7. This is what they end up looking like around here. This is a local truck for sale, not far from me. There are a lot of these style trucks sitting/rotting around here. Popular work/company trucks.
  8. I can send pictures of this if Gary needs it. Both of mine are blue and Non-AC.
  9. I have decided the best way to deal with this on my 1980 is to not inspect the drip rails...lol.
  10. Ahhh, OK. When you say back window you mean the back window on the side of the cab? My mind went to the back/rear window.
  11. 16 grand with a day to go. That's impressive. Top dollar seems to go to mint* F250 4x4's, F150 short wheelbase trucks in Lariat or XLT trim, and Broncos. Still, the bidding on this one is impressive considering it does not have AC. I always get a kick out of watching them argue about Bullnose "value" on Facebook. Although prices do vary wildly across the US, one thing is fairly consistent regardless of location...auction sale prices. If I was a betting man, I would have put money down that this truck would have cracked 10 grand, but barely. I probably would have guessed at $11,000. Maybe the Bullnose values are starting to edge up...
  12. I'm not familiar with Supercabs, but are you referring to the back wall, just above the floor, or "shelf" where the heads of the rear cab mount bolts are? Is the area the same as a regular cab?
  13. Nice truck, and currently sitting at $15,000 grand... https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1983-ford-f-250/ I've seen some nice F250's sell into the teens no problem, but the ones without AC usually don't crack $10,000. Beauty of a truck though.
  14. Figures. Everything rusts and breaks off up here...lol. I'll get something geared up for it, not really a big deal. Just one more thing to weld...lol.

    doors

It's not indented. It just has one little hump there, about an inch square. The doors on my '84 are the same. However, the doors do have the wider divider by the vent window from a Bricknose door. I know the doors are not original to the truck as they have the big 2" holes for the speaker conduits, and the truck did not have door speakers from the factory. They are likely aftermarket replacement doors, but how did they end up with Bricknose glass in them I don't know...lol. I'll have a better look at it tomorrow when I'm at work.
  16. Hey, not a bad idea Frank! Thanks. Link saved.

    doors

Jim, You're saying that the Bricknose doors fit on the Bullnose cabs, correct? I believe my 1980 Flareside has Bricknose doors on it. Can you tell from the picture below if this is a Brick door?
  18. Good call. I just checked mine and they are indeed a one piece affair (the stud part is welded to the bracket). Maybe the aftermarket version IS a 2pc part. In any case, I should be able to repair it somehow.
  19. I know the description says "new", but the pictures don't really look like new.
  20. Jim, I'm pretty keen these days with the PPE for my eyes and ears, and even masks or respirators, but all of that stuff doesn't stop all of the grit from getting into everything else...lol. I was pretty good at wearing my coveralls all of the time too, but gave them up as I just get too hot in them. Problem now is I wear worn out jeans with ripped knees, and all of the grinder dust makes its way into those holes and down into my boots...lol. Oh well. I'm never bored, and that shower after working in the shop feels like none other. Having the work shop to use is a real treat. I'll end up doing quite a bit of work on this truck at home (outside) eventually. I'm just getting all of the heavy lifting and extremely dirty work done at the shop at work. The tent garages are really popular here. I might get one just for this truck not even so much to work in, but to keep the weather off it. I have the space on my property to build a detatched garage, but I've been avoiding it for years. Now we have a bit of a housing mess here with prices skyrocketing, and materials costs are through the roof, in some cases more than double the pre-Covid prices...so it won't be happening anytime soon. I have my little 1.5 vehicle attached garage, but these days I don't want to use it for anything dirtier than brake jobs, etc.
  21. lol. Life is the northeast eh? If you don't drive you car for a couple days here the rotors get so rusty it sometimes takes a couple stops to scrape it all off...lol. I always forget that Florida is so humid. Not all of the south is the dry south.
  22. Ha! Well, this is why it's cool that we can all share our projects on here huh? It would be cool if we all lived within driving distance of each other and could share our projects in person. However, online does the trick pretty well these days. When this truck is finished I will probably sell it or the other one. I can't see me keeping two of them. One of the underlying reasons of THIS project is so that it would keep me from selling my 1984 Flareside...lol.
  23. Haha, Jim, there is so much work that still needs to be done to this thing I don't even know what to do each week. I have more than enough to keep me busy not only through the winter, but for all of 2021, and probably some of 2022...lol. I have days of buyer's remorse, seriously. After a weekend like this one, with the rust and dust in my hair, eyes, ears, etc, and wearing ear plugs and ear muffs at the same time to try and tone down the noise of the needle scaler...I ask myself, WTF did I get myself into this for???? LOL. Anyway, I have my highs and lows. I'm making a list of stuff to order this week so that I'll have it over Christmas break. I'm a little bit concerned that shipping times are going to start getting longer and longer leading up to Christmas (this year more so than previous), and I want to ensure I'll have parts while I have the time off.
