  1. As a Canadian, obviously I'm used to our "free" Healthcare. It has it's pros and cons. Just remember, like anything else, you get what you pay for.. As a young fella, I always thought it was the best thing in the world...but then again, I didn't need to use it either. Antibiotics are getting tough to get too. You have to really prove that you're suffering. BTDT. Hope you get it fixed up soon. That sh!t is no fun.
  2. Ha! Well, I can tell you that the socialized medical system in Canada would do nothing for your toothache, and even if they did, they'd probably schedule an appointment for a specialist to have a look at for you in 2023. Our national healthcare system doesn't cover dental. We have to pay out of pocket for that, or pay for a medical plan through work, which isn't cheap. I pay about $3500/yr for mine. It covers all of the other stuff that our healthcare doesn't....and even then, it only covers the basics. If you need something like a crown, you're paying for it out of pocket.
  3. You know the aftermarket replacements for these are $20?...lol. I happened to find a NOS one locally for $20 bucks, but even if I didn't, I'd have a hard time paying $239 for one. Wow.
  4. Ha! Yes. 3:36 am to be exact. I noticed though once I got online a little after 4:00 you were on there also, so you were also up early or still hadn't gone to be yet. I notice sometimes that I'm online in the morning at the same time some of the west coasters still haven't gone to bed yet...lol.
  5. This is another one of those things that I realized after the fact are probably quite common with the 4x4 guys?
  6. Ain't that the truth David! I was up at 330am so I was scanning Ebay while I was still in a semi-awake state trying to get my caffeine in to me.
  7. I don't think I was aware that this guard existed...or at least I don't think I knew it was plastic... It's cheap enough. https://www.ebay.com/itm/NOS-1980-Ford-F250-F350-Midship-Gas-Tank-Shield-E0TZ-9K014-D-OEM/254211280576?fits=Make%3AFord&epid=2089944607&hash=item3b302c4ec0:g:nhoAAOSwZ8ZW3aFx
  8. Maybe these things are all over the place?... https://www.ebay.com/itm/New-OEM-1980-1997-Ford-F-150-F-250-F-350-Spare-Wheel-Rim-Mounting-Mount-Plate/153313900926?hash=item23b238797e:g:VJYAAOSwjmRcHp1F
  9. Another oddball item I had to dig into Gary's documentation to figure out what it was. David may have already posted this, so my apologies if it's a duplicate post. https://www.ebay.com/itm/FORD-SPARE-TIRE-BRACKET-E0TZ1424A-DN5950-DS566-B1/192911834595?epid=1268714941&hash=item2cea70fde3:g:8BIAAOSwQxxc1HZj I knew it didn't fit my truck, so I was curious enough to figure out what part it was. It's one of two pieces that makes up the locking plate on the in-bed spare tire carrier (Gary correct me if I'm wrong please).
  10. I'm up way too early this morning and came across these while searching for other junk. They appear to be original Ford parts and are only lightly used. https://www.ebay.com/itm/FORD-E0TZ-6029-C-And-E0TZ-6028-C-Frame-Motor-Mounts/202861388723?hash=item2f3b7b23b3:g:lYMAAOSwBF5eARXg
  11. I thought of you when I saw this beauty on BAT yesterday. No reserve. For a 2wd F250, it looks pretty sharp. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1977-ford-f250-2wd-camper-special-longbed-ranger-xlt/
  12. I ran black Soft-8's for a while on my Bull. They're a great wheel for the price.
  13. Yes, I'm curious too. My front bumper is a bit scuffed up. It cleans up good and looks fine at a glance, but up close it looks like it was polished with sand paper...lol.
  14. Out of curiosity, which LMC bumper is that? If it's a Bullnose front bumper, they sell a "Chrome Bumper" @ $119, and a "Premium Chrome Bumper" @ $189. I'm just curious if even the "Premium" bumper is thinner? I am by no means standing up for the aftermarket here, but the market does drive a lot of choices in what the manufacturers will make. I see it all the time in my own work. I get it from customers all the time when they want to replace a 40 or 50 year old piece of equipment. They want to pay the price of the newer lighter model, but yet they want the heavy more robust older model. When I explain that double the metal means double the price, they often scoff at the notion. I am sometimes willing to pay a premium for better (heavier) parts, but I would say I am also in the small minority of people that are willing to spend $20,000 rebuilding a truck will only be worth $10,000...lol.(My labor not included). At the end of the day, when it comes to steel parts, you are paying by weight, and companies like LMC know they can sell far more light parts than they can heavy ones.
  15. Welcome aboard Rob! I've spent quite a bit of time in PA with a former employer a few years back, but that was mostly on the eastern end around Lancaster, Reading, Pottstown, etc. I was only in Pittsburgh once, but I made time to visit Primanti Bros downtown for lunch. Didn't see much else unfortunately. I'm rebuilding an '84 F150 Flareside myself, and as the guys have mentioned, there are quite a few of us on here with tailgate chains!
  16. Did you guys happen to catch how much the Bullitt Mustang sold for? https://www.kiro7.com/news/trending/bullitt-mustang-sells-record-374-million-auction-florida/EV2D4DKMCFGMBOLSTVNAGOHENI/
  17. Oh, sorry...I was poking fun at the fact the truck has both the lower chrome moldings, and the wheel arch chrome moldings. They are two separate trim packages and I don't believe were ever available together, although Gary can correct me if I'm wrong. It's like adding chrome trim on top of chrome trim if you get my drift? My preference is for plain bodied trucks, so the trim really stands out to me.
  18. Huh?...This is definitely a belt and suspenders situation... https://www.ebay.com/itm/164022796429
  19. I'm old school in the sense that I like catalogs, and I actually look forward to the LMC ones that come out quarterly (I think). I paid for a Mar-K catalog, and it was actually pretty good, but the prices in it were all outdated. I think they are predominantly a Chevy shop and the Bullnose Flareside beds are probably the lowest on their priority list. I think the only reason they carry parts for them at all is because they are the same parts on the later Dentside beds and simply carry over.
  20. Just as an FYI for those wanting to install the Flareside short chrome bumper...the bumper Reamer is making the 4pc brackets for, LMC now has the hardware for them. They just recently started selling the rear bumper and have also listed the chrome capped carriage bolts. (Previously the bolts were available, but you had to order them for the chrome front bumper). I bought two sets of 4 bolts to install both bumpers and can confirm that they fit and work well. The picture below shows why the brackets are 4pc in case anybody is wondering.
  21. For parts I have been using a variety of sources, but anything that is specific to the Bullnose that cannot be found aftermarket pretty much has to come from a scrapped truck. In my case this means about 80% Ebay, 10% local Junkyards, and 10% from Junkyards that other members on here have local to them. If there is something you're having trouble finding, post up a looking for or wanted ad right here on the forum. I've had some members on here send me parts, and I've sent some back to them as well. It really works out to be a great network. Otherwise, in no particular order, I use: Rock Auto, Amazon, and Ebay...just shop for the best price assuming the item is the same across the boards. I recently bought a new Ford Motorcraft DSII Ignition Module and Amazon had the best price. I do support the local auto parts shops for the little stuff, but if I was ordering a batch of new parts for something...like ball joints and tie-rod ends, etc...Rock Auto, even with the shipping will be half the price. For much of the aftermarket oddball stuff, I use LMC. I've been pretty happy with their stuff, and I like getting the old fashioned catalogs in the mail. I find them pretty good. For my Flareside bed specific parts, most of them came from Mar-K in Oklahoma. Their stuff seems to be very nice, and their reproduction panels fit well. I'm aware of Denis Carpenter, JBG, and NPD, but haven't really used them for anything. There was one small bearing for my steering column that I bought from JBG because nobody else had it, but that's it. Scan Ebay often, and you'll start to see some common sellers. U-Haul...Stillwells obsolete, etc.
  22. Ha! I could have predicted this! Back in the early 90's when I had my '84 Z28, the stock 305 "HO" they came with was really underwhelming. That is why mine got a warmed up 350 4-bolt main. It had a Crane cam, headers, intake, etc. It wasn't dyno'd, but was estimated to be making between 275-300 HP. I then put a shift kit in it, and the car really ripped off the line. It would lay a short strip of rubber shifting into second gear. Problem was, if I was doing something like the 1/4 mile, a bone stock 5.0 Mustang would pass me at about the 1/8th mile mark, and easily too. I tell ya, that sure sucked after spending about $3000 in engine and exhaust mods...lol. I think the issue in that case was the trans and gearing though. That 5.0 had a 5spd, and my Z28 had that awful 700R4 4spd auto. It would scream in 3rd gear and then fall flat on it's face in 4th. I could beat him off the line, but by the time we each got into 3rd gear, he was gone. Bugger. All these years later, those Foxbody 5.0's still make me twitch.
  23. That one is the same one that is in my truck now. They have it titled incorrectly. That truck has no AC of any kind.
  24. I had one of these back in the early 1990's. Mine was a 1984 that had a mild 4-bolt main 350 swapped into it. The 700R4 and 10 bolt rear end didn't like the extra horsepower and I had to replace the trans and rear end TWICE while I owned that car. The t-roof leaked like a spaghetti strainer, but it was still a fun car. I drove it across the country and back in the mid-1990's.
  25. That's a decent lookin' old truck Ray. If you don't have any immediate plans for the old car and can use the truck, that sounds like a great deal to me.
