  1. Yes sir. http://www.greensalescompany.com/ You can do an inventory search on their website, but to buy you have to call them.
  2. Sorry, my bad...if I go down into the shipping calculator area and enter the zip code I use (04619), then yes, it worked. DUH. I guess it depends on how the seller sets up the ad/auction. If they are free shipping, they just show free shipping. Sometimes it will auto-calculate shipping to Canada (if the seller has it enabled to do so). If they have it set up so that they only wish to sell/ship in the US, then it usually shows me that the item is not available in your country or may not be available in your country. I was digging through some old pictures and found this one I forgot that I had. This was in the spring of 2018 when my little 302 was being set-up on the dyno for break-in and tuning. The drill was left running in place for probably 20 minutes while the guys finished getting the engine all set up and plug wires installed, etc.
  3. I finally broke down and ordered one of these yesterday. Green Sales in Ohio has a few (they had 5, and now have 4). I was going to make something to replicate the original, but for $25 I figured why not buy an OEM piece. My truck is pretty plain, and I like it that way, but wanted the little lip on the bumper and if it helps in my MPG quests this summer, even better.
  4. Shaun gets a double thumbs up for this one. I follow the FB pages and I must say, I am surprised at how many of these trucks I have seen go up in the flames the past few years. I've also seen a few for sale on Craigslist that were sold due to a fire in the engine bay, and a couple local classics that caught fire. Then again, I see a lot of pictures of loosely draped fuel lines and plastic fuel filters laying on engines... In any case, I was worried enough about this I promptly marched out and bought a good quality fire extinguisher to put behind the seat. As matter of fact, I'm thinking of having two in there...one on each side of the cab. So...carry a fire extinguisher with you (is a necessity for me). And while we're on the topic of FB groups...if you follow them at all you'll also see how often guys have problems with starter solenoids. I'd say thats one of the first things to do on these trucks would be to install new power and ground cables (the big ones) and check/clean/tighten all grounds. All of them. Then again...common upgrades would also include a 3G alternator and a PMGR starter. (My '84 is still rockin' the original 1G 40amp alternator and the original standard starter). And an upgrade list would not be complete without both RedHead and BlueTop steering boxes.
  5. Yes, right. I believe GM started using base/clear sometime in the late 1980's, and Ford followed a few years later. I forget the exact timeline, but I know we're talking late 80's and into the early 1990's. I had a 1990 Toyota pickup years ago, and it was factory painted in a single stage. I believe my '84 F150 was painted with single stage enamel. I talked to an old guy a while ago that spent 30 years working in one of the Ford plants in Canada, and he was in the paint shop all through the 1980's. He was rhyming off all of the paint thickness specs at the time and said that there was shockingly little paint put on those cars and trucks. He said it was no wonder that the sun burned right through it.
  6. Yes, right. Once in a while the Flaresides had the roof colored with the two-tone. I don't know how common they were.
  7. Your truck was built a month before mine in the same plant. Two exterior colors means it was a two tone truck. 3L for Dark Blue Metallic, and 3F for Light Medium Blue. I'm not sure how many two tone variations there were for the Flaresides, but one of the guys on here will know. You actually don't have a tape code. The trans code is "A" and the axle/gears code is "19". The tape code area is blank. The "CB3" gives you about the only info you're going to get. CB is Blue Cloth and Vinyl, and the 3 is regular cab with Flareside bed. I'm guessing it looked something like this...grabbed a pic from a quick Google search. I think most two tone Flaresides were like this style.
  8. This is 100% true, and no joke. I had to have open heart surgery ~10 years ago, and they wouldn't open me up until after my dental health had been validated (fortunately, my dental health is generally good). Also, had I needed a valve replacement, I would then have needed prophylactic antibiotics before any future dental surgery. Fortunately I got to keep the valve. Now that's Patina! I believe as a society we have reached Peak Patina!...but I still like it sometimes. Fake patina is not really my thing, but I don't mind the look of it on some trucks. I thought this one was interesting...guy says it looked like that when he bought it in 1991...lol.
  9. Ha! I noticed that. Well then, that certainly means that the column shifter had been removed for some reason or another...that factory pin is in there tight enough it should never fall out. Not a big deal I suppose...lots of reasons one would have the column apart for a repair, but one would think you'd fix it properly.
  10. Thanks for the part numbers, that's great! Nothing on Ebay or at Green Sales or on RearCounter. Ok...NBD, I can make a set. I figured if I could find them and they were cheap I'd buy 'em, but I might as well wait until I get the rest of the AC parts anyway. Surely one of the thousands on the FB groups is parting out an old Bull with AC.
  11. That one is the same one that is in my truck now. They have it titled incorrectly. That truck has no AC of any kind. Something I need for this swap that I don't have is the clamps to mount the accumulator. Parts 19D607 in the picture below. If anybody happens to have an extra set let me know. Gary if you're watching could you let me know what the proper part number is for these clamps? I don't see it listed in the AC parts listing on the AC components page.
  12. This old girl looks to be in very nice condition too. Love the colors/paint combo on this one. https://www.cars.com/vehicledetail/detail/800666300/overview/?aff=stemp2&utm_source=AutoTempest&utm_medium=TRP&utm_campaign=stemp2
  13. This thing caught my eye while scrolling through the ads this morning. It looks good and it's cheap, but it needs a cab... https://seattle.craigslist.org/sno/cto/d/lake-stevens/7046567689.html It's got some really bizarre looking roof rust going on there...
  14. And it's one of those parts that nobody would ever notice if it was OEM or aftermarket.
  15. Noise insulation. Did you notice it's also all closed in on the driver's side too? I didn't notice it until you mentioned it, but it is the same type of shield mounted under the dash there too. Interesting. I guess it goes with all of the insulation still being on the hood too? I'm familiar with it on my Volkswagen diesels. They have all kinds of noise insulating panels installed that are not present on the quieter gasoline powered cars.
  16. Looks OK eh Gary? Looks like there's a dent in the driver's door just forward of the lower mirror mount. One of the paintless dent repair shops could probably massage that out to keep the paint original. Otherwise, the old thing seems pretty decent. I love seeing those clean interiors and engine bays.
  17. This old F250 seems to be pretty well preserved for being 35 years old. Love these PNW trucks. https://www.ebay.com/itm/283747738888 It's not perfect, but its all still there. Few dings and marks and lack of AC will hurt the price, but if you wanted a low mile all original diesel. Lots of high res pictures if you scroll down the auction page.
  18. If you scroll up the page a bit you'll see that I did exactly that. I bought Grote replacement lights that were almost identical to the originals. One thing I had to do was paint over that window on the driver's side.
  19. If I could quote the illustrious NumberDummy: "There is no such thing as a door tag." Great work Angelo! We all love data, the more the better!
  20. I did need one a while back but Jonathan was kind enough to send me one from Arizona to replace the one I had that was broken in two. Another very common rust item. Not sure how much of a need there is for them Ron, but I'm sure you'd sell a few.
  21. I haven't done anything with my truck AT ALL I am ashamed to say, and it's not for lack of things TO DO...good grief. I have been busy however searching for and ordering parts! That's just as much fun as working on the truck, right?...lol. It appears that I have secured all of the cab parts for a factory AC swap. The guy is supposed to start dismantling the truck next weekend. I'm a little worried about the parts getting damaged during disassembly, but oh well...not much I can do. I'll wait and see how that goes. Fingers crossed. I have also found a set of the factory 15x8 Bronco Type-5 wheels semi-locally (I consider 60 miles away to be pretty close). Going to go see them in person tomorrow. I also have freshly painted and powder coated front end parts to install. They are laying in the garage ready to go. New radius arms and bushings, factory swaybar and associated parts, etc. I have to finish installing my stereo system with speakers and wiring, etc. Part of this is painting my interior door panels, kick panels, etc. Lots to do.
  22. Quite a bit of truck there for the money if you're into them with these mods/parts.
  23. Hey Gary, This part also showed up on other trucks without the fuel economy package, right? I have come across some pictures of them on trucks that didn't appear to be fuel saver models...but anything could have been changed in almost 40 years now...
