  1. If it's any help, I can tell you that the Dave Graham disks linked above are pretty good. They are the actual Ford manuals that the dealership techs used. I have them for the 84 and 85 trucks. I'm no help with the E series stuff though, sorry.
  2. I see it has sold... So what was different about this carrier from the standard under bed carrier?
  3. The pipes might need to be modified a tiny bit to connect to the headers properly. Spark plug access is fine and will be with any of the regular Ford heads. If you have GT40P heads you might have issues but all the others will be ok.
  4. Chrome is holding up fine so far. The issue with the fitment is that shorty headers are made to replace/fit in place of stock manifolds, and connect to the stock Y-pipe. So, nobody makes them to fit the pre-EFI 5.0 engines. The carbed engines had the valve in the driver's side exhaust for the crossover, and I don't think there was enough room to install a shorty header there. So the 1986-up shorty headers work just fine, but they don't fit the stock Bullnose Y-pipe. You'll need custom down pipes like I did (ran duals anyway) or a Y-pipe from a later model truck. There was another shorty header almost identical to the BBK's... JBA's, I think?...I had a used set for another engine but scraped the project and didn't use them. They have smaller primaries and they're quite a bit more money I think... https://www.jegs.com/i/JBA/578/1627SJS/10002/-1

  6. I don't think anyone does make them. I've seen other people looking for them previously. Junkyard is about the only option, or Ebay. I might have one from the '85 I junked last year. I'll check on the weekend.
  7. That's a cool lookin' dually. Nice.
  8. I have a set of the BBK 3510 shorty headers on my 1984 5.0 F150. Bought mine from Summit, but I think you can buy them anywhere, including Amazon. They are listed as fitting 1987-1995 5.0 F150's. https://www.bbkperformance.com/ford-f150-302-1-5-8-in-shorty-headers-chrome-87-95.html I'm running full 2.25" dual exhaust all the way to the back, with Magnaflow mufflers and an H-pipe in front of them. I'm happy with the BBK headers, but the bolts and gaskets that came with them were no good. I ordered a longer set of ARP header bolts (I think 1" but can confirm for you if need be) and a set of Remflex gaskets. Been fine ever since.
  9. Looks pretty good for what it is. I'd love to go truck shopping in Oregon.
  10. Have you decoded the Certification Label on the cab yet? There's more info on there if you're the curious sort for details.
  11. I don't have the one for 1986, but I could send you the 1985 version if it is any help. I don't have an oil hammer in my Bullnose, so I know nothing about these engines;).
  12. Not hard to tell when they've been stored inside eh Gary? That interior sure is cherry...wow.
  13. This old girl looks to have been well preserved. The interior is minty fresh, and the underside looks nice too. https://www.ebay.com/itm/274276896360 It has a funky lookin' spray in bed liner, but if it works it works.
  14. A friend of mine sent me this video and I thought it worthy to share in case you've ever cursed like I have trying to prime a grease gun.
  15. According to Denis Carpenter, the Flareside steel side panels were the same from 1978-1987, with the only difference being the fender bolt locations on the 78-79 panels. They were the same steel parts otherwise. I know it's pretty common up here in the land of rust for people to fab new side panels without the fender humps. They aren't really needed unless you were running really large/wide tires and were not lifted. It never occurred to me that the older style tailgate would be narrower. I forgot about that. I know you can buy an aftermarket tailgate for the 80-86 trucks, but it does not have FORD stamped into it.
  16. I just checked LMC for kicks, and they show one bushing for 1980-1982, and another for 1983-1996, so the 9" and 8.8" rear swaybar bushings are definitely different. So...I guess you can ignore what I said, since my experience was only with the 8.8, and I could not find a Moog bushing that fit. However, you may be perfectly fine with a 9".
  17. I ended up buying my rear swaybar bushings from LMC because I couldn't find any Moog ones that fit. Now, my rear end is an 8.8 and yours is probably a 9" in an '82 Bronco, so they may not be the same. As far as I knew, the rear swaybars on half tons (and Bronco's?) are all 7/8". For the end links, I just bought the Moog kits...they come with the new steel link rods and the blue bushings (I'm not sure what they're made of, but they are hard like Poly bushings).
