    T2K-CAR

What a long strange trip it's been!
  5. That's great! And good job! I had someone tell me driving a boat is like driving a car. Not to me. It's a learning curve as you go. Keep at it. I would be concerned about doing things right and knowing the rules of the water. We were beached with another family and our kids and we watched a guy put his boat on the trailer, (the most expensive boat on the lake IMO), pull up the launch ramp and the boat slid off the trailer and landed on the outdrive. He forgot to secure the boat to the trailer, a costly mistake. You'll be fine! Edit, I forgot. As we watched that unfold, my friend says what are you so worried about?
  6. It does have a Weatherguard toolbox on it. Does that come with it? They sell pretty good used.
  7. I think it might be something similar to Vaseline, where the Brand Name becomes the common term (also Q-Tips). I just call that a "padded clamp", but I'm glad to learn that it is an Adel clamp. I call them "Cushion Clamps" Paddle bits / Spade bits.... Cory, did I see that you posted something about BBK headers on one of your Flare Side pickups? I now have a 302/SROD to go into my truck and would like some shortie headers for it. However, it seems like the mechanical clutch linkage makes that difficult. Do you have any insight? Thanks. I've always referred to those as Adel clamps. What I learned to call them as a young aircraft mechanic. Based on "young aircraft mechanic" and your avatar, thanks very much for all of your efforts Dane. I appreciate you. I've always referred to those as Adel clamps. I actually made a career out of what I did in the Marine Corps.

  9. I'm sorry, I'm not getting it. I'm using a laptop with Windows 11. I'm seeing the links but no tabs. Haven't tried my iPhone. Edit, Okay, I think I see what I wasn't doing. I clicked on library instead of the list below. I like the pages better. Easier for me to see.
  10. Thank you Grumpin! I am for the moment all within spec on pressures. What a relief. Started up the Yellow Rose today…..cold air blows, and it is a beautiful thing!!!!! Awesome! Hope it keeps on cooling!
  11. Went to Diesel Parts (they do custom A/C lines, hydraulics, etc…..) They said the line they created was not crimped properly. So they recrimped the line and gave me new o rings—no charge. They thought it was leaking from the top, and squirreling around the fitting and dripping on the metal line. Anyway, filled with 2 cans yesterday until the compressor remained ON. I stopped there. Pressure was 35 on low and 200 on high, steady. I have no sticker so I am guesstimating here. The 1979 truck with same setup at the pic-pull said 2.75 on it’s sticker. So I am thinking with the 80% that is correct? 80% of 2.75 is 2.2. If I have that calc correct then I am in the field of range. The proof of this is I went out this late morning and turned on truck and A/C. The compressor kicked right on and engaged and never cycled off like it has in the past. Cold air blew right away and consistently. I would say this is fixed…I hope. Time will tell! Have to say, I am quite a believer in the dye method over the electronic sniffer. Mine was blowing false positives all over. You may have already seen these, but there are all kinds of charts online for the pressures at the temperature. https://rechargeac.com/how-to/ac-system-pressure-chart/
