    Glad you got that fixed. I adjusted the rear shoes when I replaced the front calipers, but nothing more that on the rear.

    I would check the glow plugs again and only use Motorcraft or Beru, I believe is the manufacturer. And check the glow plug system, the connecter block for the glow plugs will get burned up. This sounds to me like some glow plugs aren't getting warm for start. Edit: And I always used the block heater on a heavy duty appliance timer when cold, much better starts.

    I’ve heard the Cloyes straight up timing set, that Gary mentioned, wakes up the 460 pretty good. Perhaps Jim will comment, I believe he’s done one. I agree with Gary, I’ve had two 460’s, and they have some torque. But an RV cam might be nice for some more pulling grunt! Edit: Jim might comment, as I’m typing!
