  1. The 86 I used to own did the same thing and had to be pretty warm out for the engine to get warm enough to engage it.

  5. As I've said my remeberer don't work as good as it used to. But I've been thinking, I seem to remember trying it after putting the sleeve in boiling water and also with a heat gun. Maybe I did them with boiling water. I looked at the pictures on Seat Belt Planet and JBG, and they look similar if not identical. A "thunk" is not good though.

The fluid is running a little hotter than I like. It's probably fine, but for a few bucks and a little time I can cool it down a little bit. Awesome job on the truck! It is looking good. That power steering cooler looks like it'll do the trick. I always like the curly line Ford used.

  12. ^ What Larry said, and I would be suspicious of the turn signal switch. They can cause some odd problems.
  13. I hadn't heard it either. I'm sure there are good wheels that don't. And I don't know the history on the wheels as they came on the Suburban when we bought it. And we've had it for fifteen or more years.
  14. Glad it's better. Our Suburban had a vibe at 65-75 MPH. Kept checking things and all was good. Finally went to the tire shop and told them I think something is wrong with the one or more of the tires. He comes out and looks things over and said one thing they have found is aftermarket wheels will move after they're torqued, you wouldn't think so but they do. OE wheels, as I understand it, are made to fit on the hub better. They had some OEM style rims, put them on and the vibration was gone. Maybe a tire guy on here can add to this.

  16. Oh, out of stock doesn't help! The twist was easier than I thought it would be, used a heat gun, gently or not close. Already had a string tied to it, and with a little heat it came right through. Edit: Sorry Gary, I missed that you mentioned LMC in your post.
