  1. It's tempting for sure, what I need is a project like that! About a three hour drive for me though.
  2. https://bend.craigslist.org/cto/d/1984-f250-69/6631532502.html Interesting, if that's all that's wrong with it.
  3. I had the mechanic I use for stuff I can't or won't do, replace my oil pan gasket and rear main seal. He recommended a one piece gasket. I found this one, worked good. This is for a 460, I assume they make them for the 351. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/fms-m-6710-a460/applications/year/1986
  4. How do you correct the sender? My aft one is actually pretty good, The front gets to a half tank and makes a beeline for E. Mine sounds like Darth.
  5. Oh OK, 19 gallon. That's why I'm getting 18.5 in the midship tank. (as Ford calls it) My truck is a Super Cab with the long wheelbase. I'm going to have to pull that aft tank down sometime or another. Now I'm wondering if someone put the wrong pump and sender unit in back there. Don't know why I thought 18 gallon, maybe from my 1994 F250 I used to have. Thanks, Gary!
  6. It's my understanding that my F250 has two 18 gallon fuel tanks. I can run the front one dry and it will take about 18.5 gallons to fill it. The rear though, will only take 16.5 gallons when I run it "dry". Anybody else experience this? Asking before I decide whether to pull the tank or wait awhile. Plenty of other projects. Thanks!
  7. Today as I was running errands, I saw a black Flareside go by. Looked like this one. I was sure it was a Bullnose. Couldn't catch up because of traffic. Finally saw it up ahead in the turn lane as we were stopped at a light. As it made the turn I realized it was a late 60's Flareside. Very nice looking truck! (No chains) Would have liked to have a closer look. Haven't seen it in town so hopefully it is from here.
  8. Wow! Interesting. For me, simplicity is becoming the norm. I would go with number 1, but if financially possible I would not sell the O/D units. Never know, might need them, or change your mind. As Lebaron said, I also have 3.55's, (always had trucks with 4.10's), the 3.55's are great, good acceleration (the 460 definitely helps!) and not too bad on the RPM's if you're not trying to keep up on a freeway. I have the C6. (So I'm the "old man" doing 60MPH!) You can go into 4 Low for backing and other situations. I appreciate your thoughts on the overdrives as I have thought it would be nice to have one. But well over 3 grand will buy a lot of gas!
  9. I don't like it myself. I would turn off what you have too. It cannot make human decisions, and yes, there are many humans who cannot make human decisions! I've worked on aircraft with sensors and relays and all. And they fail. Autopilots are great, they give the crew a break and it's difficult to fly aircraft at 40,000 feet. But the crew has control and can switch it off. I like tech also, and it has its place, just not controlling cars, IMHO.

  11. Could be a winner, especially if those mirrors are good. Another one up your way. You probably seen it. Seems a little sketchy, and too pricey IMO. https://bend.craigslist.org/cto/d/1986-ford-bronco/6525950022.html
  12. I don't know what years it will work on. https://medford.craigslist.org/pts/d/spare-tire-rack/6519226230.html
  13. Good job Inspector! Does your dog bite?...
  14. Been some apparent good ones (as you said) lately. Tempting, for parts or a project. If I had room etc.
  15. https://klamath.craigslist.org/cto/d/1985-ford-250/6542946213.html Don't know any specifics, but a good price.
  16. Good find, that's interesting, so is the paint as you said. That might scare me off. Should be a good towing machine.
  17. Interesting, getting harder for me to get in and out now. Especially in, even more so when somebody parks six inches from my truck!
  18. Some good parts maybe. https://klamath.craigslist.org/cto/d/1995-ford-bronco/6533941437.html
  19. Thanks Gary! I don't remember which type of Amsoil ATF it was, probably what Amsoil recommended on their website. I've had good results with their tranny fluid, our Suburban would "hunt" while driving, shifting up and down and in and out of lock up. Found a GM Service Bulletin that said to use synthetic. It cleared it up.
