I agree with Jim, I can’t picture in my head a stuck valve upping the compression. You’re on the compression stroke. But, my head doesn’t always picture things right!

Good news on firing up with starter fluid. On the #2 cylinder, my first thought was oil in the cylinder, which you did also. Really good rings, or oil in bad rings, or the rings are carboned up as you said, or sludged up. Odd that it’s only one cylinder though.

They are harder to find. If I had the extra money...

Took my truck for a drive today and observed the cruise control. I see where you’re coming from, even with the C6 to soften it up, it’s aggressive. I guess I’ve always sped back up close then engage it. I do that with the Xterra too. But using the buttons to slow down or speed up is annoying!

Nothing yet. I've been watching Marketplace waiting for a deal like Cory found for his truck, but Marketplace is full of 16.5's and I'm not willing to go down that road. Great! An accomplishment!
