WTB: In-Bed Spare Tire Carrier
1986F150Six replied to fords4life's topic in For Sale, Trade, or Free To A Good Home
My guess as to the reason for only the 6' 9" bed, is that the tire is to be mounted behind the driver and must have sufficient clearance between the front of the bed and the area where the rear wheel cover protrudes into the bed. -

That sounds good, Jonathan, except for the fuel starvation issue. The Frenchtown Flyer has in previous threads, indicated that with the aerodynamics of this body, the fuel consumption significantly increases after 62 mph. I get my best mileage @ ~60 mph. My son's truck gets its best @ ~65 mph.

Regarding the horn pad, check with fellow member Ford F834 [his truck is the photo currently at the top of the forum]. He had 2 or 3 at the 2017 Garagemahal GTG. He can well be trusted! -

On the upper doors, where the primer has been sprayed, isn't that where black should be [as well as mirrors, grill, head light bezels, exterior door locks, windshield trim, etc.]?
