  1. That's expensive, but if you want NOS. 83/86 F100/350 (99) — w/single fuel filler opening (RH) E3TZ 9927840-C
  2. That's an interesting use of space. But Jim is right, that ain't factory.
  3. That is a buy! A dizzy, two DS-II boxes, and the DS-II harness for $65 inc shipping!?!? WAIT!!! The grommet color is green. What I've been able to find says that is a DS-I module, not a DS-II. Apparently the changeover happened around '75 and there are some wiring differences. So I'm not sure that wiring harness will fit a Bullnose truck. To get started if someone is interested go to: Documentation/Electrical/Ignition and on the Part #'s tab click on the link to Bob's Garage Library and the link to BZEROB.com Read this thread on FTE: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/757580-ds-vs-dsii.html
  4. Thanks for the help, Dave. I knew you did the hot water bit on your carb and had plugged that hole. Do you remember what plug you used?
  5. LOL! I guess that's like "It is after 5:00 somewhere." Yep, it was 420 your time.
  6. I don't know what it fits as it doesn't show in the MPC, as you can see. I'd bet that the original part has been replaced and they took the number out of the catalog. But we had a discussion about that here: https://forum.garysgaragemahal.com/Where-To-Buy-Parts-tp47986p51110.html.

  9. I was wondering if it was expected to plug that hole. But if I remember correctly Dave said he used a brass cup plug to seal that hole. Let's see what he says.
  10. Don't know what the seller has been smoking, but that hold down is right for our trucks, but not after '86.
  11. Thanks, David. If this one stays on I'll probably stay with the ones I have. But if it comes off...
  12. Good point about the switch, Bill. And, with that, I don't know why it seems there are two problems at the same time.
  13. That's a really nice Bronco! But while it says "Eye popping color combination of Copper - Wimbledon White", the pics look like red to me. Am I the only one?
  14. I agree. I've worked on David's 300, but only once and it was just for timing and AFR. So I don't know how to help. I'm going to tag Dave/FuzzFace2 as I think he will know.
  15. Gave Big Blue a wash and wax job today, but didn't get to clean the windows, vacuum it out, and change the oil and filter. And that was due to two problems: the dark blue was badly oxidized, and two of the emblems came off. A few months ago I used polishing compound by hand on the dark blue, but it didn't get the job done. So today I used rubbing compound and my buffer. It is better, but not right - yet. How do I know? Because the F250 emblem came off the left front fender and below it the blue is original. In addition, the Explorer emblem on the right flank was coming loose so I pulled it off as well. I spent quite a bit of time cleaning the mounting adhesive off the emblems as well as the truck, and then used Gorilla Heavy Duty Double Sided Mounting Tape to mount them. The Explorer emblem has two of its three tab, so I got it back where it is supposed to go. But the F250 emblem doesn't have either of its tabs, so I got it back close. I think it'll be fine, but if I replace it I might go with a pair of F350 emblems as, save for the VIN, that's what it is.
  16. Usually a leaky master cylinder kills the booster. That's because the leak frequently is into the booster causing all sorts of corrosion. So I wouldn't replace a master w/o at least checking the booster to see if it is wet inside, and more likely replacing it. And it is possible that a bad booster would keep the pedal from returning fully, and that might trigger the switch and keep the lights on. So I'd check that booster out very closely as I fear it may be bad.
  17. Jim - I think you are right. But I don't think there should be coolant leaking when the carb is pulled. Is that hole with coolant in it supposed to be sealed?
  18. Gave BB a wash and wax, but no oil change - yet. That's 'cause the wax job took a lot longer than I expected. The dark blue was badly oxidized and I attempted to fix that. It is better, but not good. So I'm not gunning for "Best Paint".
  19. Yep, but almost done. Gonna give BB a bath and then change oil and filter today. And while it is on the lift lube the suspension and check it over closely.
  20. A day of rest? Well, compared to Saturday it will be a day of rest. And if I can have my clothes packed before then all I’ll have to do is unload the totes with show stuff, load the travel tote that has boots and jackets, and upload pics and vids. Of course, all of that is after an enjoyable and relaxing time studying and worshiping at church. But speaking of uploading, I think I’ll create the page for the show results before hand and have places for the number of trucks, forum participants, winners, etc. doing that will help me think about what info I need to capture during the weekend.
  21. I'd forgotten about the travel bans! My bad. And it isn't just the UK, but basically all of the EU as well as several other countries. Which is surely what Heinz meant by being welcome. I sure hope we have this problem licked by this time next year. As for pics and vids, I plan to do that on Sunday - in addition to packing, unloading, and reloading. Sunday is going to be a busy day.
