  1. Good point, Dane! Yes, these were used on vehicles with bucket seats or captain's chairs.
  2. That looks like a "buck" plate. If so, it would have been near the windshield wiper motor. Used while the cab was on a "buck" before dropping on the frame. Has ID info.
  3. Yes, it is possible. But my understanding is that you have to disassemble the whole transmission to do it. In other words, it is a lot of trouble.
  4. Those are nice! And, they are for a Bronco as they have the plastic sleeves on them.
  5. First, that is obviously a 1985 bezel. The 1980 - 84 trucks didn't get the burlwood bezel, and the 1986 burlwood doesn't turn purple the way '85 does.
  6. Yeah, another one of those where I have to ask WHY?????? Why would you spend the same money that would buy a new one on a used one that is already starting to have problems? I'll bet if it isn't shipped very carefully it'll have more cracks when you get it. It is old vinyl that has already lost much of its plasticizer, the stuff that keeps it flexible, and it is going to crack. It is just a matter of where and when.
  7. I'm not seeing that part number for anything but the Bronco II. But it might fit others. The deal is that Ford had a million packages of lock cylinders and keys. Shown below are the ones specific to the F & U series vehicles. But that part number out to the side doesn't tell you what is in the whole package, save for the cases where there is only one part, and that is rare. So while the E1TZ 1006081-A PN is only found in the MPC for the B-II's, that doesn't mean it won't fit. And I have no way of knowing that. So here's a question to y'all - do we need the info below on a web page for "locks"? And, if so, where? It really shouldn't go in Interior or Exterior because it has both. So I'm thinking Body. Yes? And, do I want to do as you see below and exclude the A, E, & B series vehicles? Or, should I cut out the whole section from the MPC and put a pdf of it in? That way if someone wanted to find the part number being discussed they could - w/o me. Thoughts? http://www.garysgaragemahal.com/uploads/6/5/8/7/65879365/waving_orig.gif
  8. Welcome, Lenny! Glad you joined. Where's home? I ask because we have a map (Bullnose Fourum/Member's Map in the menu) and we'd be happy to add you if we had a city/state or zip. On the brake pedal, I'm not sure I understand. Is the pedal too high or too low?
  9. One size usually fits nothing correctly. And a small battery and a 429, with the starters back then, is asking for trouble.
  10. Right, Gary thinks they look like they belong in a bathroom. But he has one that he'd be happy to send to someone if they pay the shipping, and it looks a whole lot better than those do.
  11. Wow! That first picture looks magical! Beautiful! Glad you got the rims sorted. Bummer you had to order two sets. And yes, those M/T ones are finished very nicely, but they do stick out quite a bit. Here we wouldn't get in trouble with the police, but it isn't a good look although people do it all the time. Looks silly to me - like you bought the wrong wheels but don't know it. Anyway, you got the wheels you wanted, and they'll look good!
  12. We don't have an Autozone in our little town, but do have an O'Reilly's. I initially started dealing with them, but their personnel don't stay for more than a few months. Ron, the manager when I started, is now the assistant manager at Bumper To Bumper and couldn't be happier. So I give him some business, but most of it has gone to Skiatook Auto Parts, which is locally-run and has two employees - David, the owner, and DeWayne, who is also member 93F3507.3 here on the forum. But none of those places carry the Odyssey batteries, and since that's what was in Big Blue for a starting battery when I got him I wanted to get another for the aux battery. Turns out 4 Wheel Parts in Tulsa is a dealer, so I bought from them. The starting battery is an Odyssey Extreme 31M PC2150, and the aux battery is an Odyssey Extreme 34-PC1500. So a Group 31 fits in the starting slot, but it won't clear in the aux slot as it is too tall so I went with the Group 34.
  13. No, I didn't pay any attention to the building behind where I stood to take the pic. I'd spotted the building across the street as we sat at the table in the window at Red Rooster and knew you'd recognize it. So as we left I took the pic. Yes, Liz knows you quite well. Said she'll say hello for me the next time she sees you. But Janey was just looking and didn't find anything. However, we did have coffee and cake - excellent! Right, Highway 51. I took it easy going through Hulbert, even slipping it into 3rd so I could go slowly. All went well until we got to the west edge of town and this clown pulls out. Initially he was pointing out things to his passenger and couldn't be bothered to drive. In fact, from the hand gestures I don't see how he was steering. The conversation must have continued as his speed was always way below the limit, and so did the double-yellow lines for miles out of town. But when they stopped I was ready, having dropped down to 4th, and in that gear you are turning 2000 RPM at 55 MPH and it'll pull quite well. Next time we are coming through I'll get with you. But yesterday's trip was on a whim. We both wanted out of the house and I wanted to drive Big Blue. So she picked Tahlequah and away we went. We'd tried to eat at Pasti when we were through there while on the GOAT, but they were remodeling. So we gave them a second chance and it was well worth it.
  14. Yes, the Odyssey tops are strange. Had you done the spacers before I machined the hold-downs...
  15. I HATE when people do that. It has to be one of the most inconsiderate things you can do while driving. I agree. And they rarely succeed in keeping me from passing. I do NOT want to follow someone like that, someone who isn't actually "driving" but is carrying on a conversation and just happens to be behind the wheel. So I make sure to overtake quickly and put a fair amount of distance between us.
  16. I agree, that's elegant, but this doesn't have a center channel output and I wanted to keep things simple. I just got one of those double-voice-coil center speaker options, it's basically two speakers in one. It has a similar effect, and I can use the fader to set how loud I drive it. Yes, a speaker with two voice coils does the same thing, only better. That way you have control over how much center channel you have, as you said.
  17. The engine would never fire that way. You have to have power to the ignition module. What I'm trying to say is to tap in at the points shown below, in this method:
  18. If I understand what you are saying, that it does the same thing on the front tank as on the rear tank, then that is not what I understood before. And that suggests to me that you have a blown power valve or accelerator pump. If either of those things are bad you'll dump fuel right into the intake, and the higher the fuel level the more fuel since there is more gravitational pressure. Not "fuel pressure" as in pressure from the pump, but gravitational pressure caused by the weight of the ever-higher fuel.
