  1. I could mention the camo-painted Bullnose I saw in the hardware store's parking lot this morning, but I don't have a pic so it didn't happen. And, when I went back later to get a garbage disposal it was gone. (Have you ever seen a disposal crack in several places in the housing?) Maybe it was a fig newton of my amalgamation?
  2. Janey and I are going to be in the KC area on Tuesday, so I'm planning on stopping by LMC. Among other things I want to talk with them about loot for the show in September. But do you'uns have any suggestions, questions, or comments?
  3. Don - What is your ETA on the project? Mid-September?
  4. Can you come to Skiatook? Please? I need HELP! And you are obviously just the guy.
  5. Folks - I'm doing as I warned you yesterday and tweaking things on the website and/or forum. So for I've made these TEMPORARY changes today: Gary's Garagemahal (the Bullnose bible): I turned the header at the top of the forum page off as it was also causing Jim grief. Personally I use that line all the time to get back to the main forum page, but you can get there by the Bullnose Enthusiasts link at either the top or bottom of the page. But, let's see if this helps the Android users and we'll go from there. If these changes cause you any issues or concerns, please let me know ASAP.
  6. Jim - I hope you'll only do forum stuff in your off time. But I'm not sure what your "nope" is in response to. The social media buttons or the Gary's Garagemahal (The Bullnose bible) header being gone. Your screenshot shows the Sumo social media buttons. So I went back and checked and, somehow they weren't turned off. So I turned them off again. Maybe they'll be off now? As for "How can I show the extent, if the header is off", I don't understand. I thought we wanted to turn the header off so it didn't get in the way. No? But again, please don't worry about this while working.
  7. Can you take a screenshot and post it? I ask because there are two social media widgets and I'm not sure which one is the culprit. And, we won't lose the clicks, just won't get more via mobile users. But let's figure out what is causing the problem before worrying about that. Also, I just turned the Gary's Garagemahal (the Bullnose bible) off on the top of the forum page. Please check to see if that helped your reply window problem.
  8. Jim - Let's take this one thing at a time. I think I turned the social media thing off for mobile users. Please check and see if that fixed that one problem. (We may want to turn it off for all users, but for now let's do this piecemeal.)
  9. Yes. POR likes rust, so if you have everything clean it'll bond tightly to the rust. And, if there is paint just scuff it with 60 grit sand paper, making sure there's no wax or silicones on it.
  10. Jim - Is this still the status on your Android when replying? I'm trying to work the issue and need to understand what the problems are for sure. As I understand it, the issues are: And, have you tried the other browsers? Just wanting to get all the issues associated with the reply window on a mobile device nailed down before I work on it.
  11. Oh. Ok. I didn't read the writeups. But if you are at a salvage getting the parts, then get the pedal as well so it'll be a bolt-in. (Or, if you have a good friend pulling the parts, have him get it. ) And the later pedal will work in a Bullnose bracket. I've tried.
  12. Don't forget the brake pedal. The peg on the pedal where the linkage goes is in a different place for the hydroboost pedal than for the vacuum one. If I remember correctly the hydroboost link has a different dogleg than that of the vacuum unit. And it changes the pedal pressure.
  13. That is how it appears to me, it looks like the box only touches the frame around the bolt holes. Mine already has tubes in the frame. They are just between the frame rail and liner though, not all the way through like Gary described. It also looks like someone has welded on this crack before, but only a little spot at the bottom. I promise not to brace it up with a tree branch:nabble_anim_handshake: The "tubes" are probably part of the piece inside the frame. They were on mine. They are just curled pieces of the liner's metal. The tubes I spoke of would be HD tubing that just fits the bolts, and is welded to the frame on both the inside and outside.
  14. LOL...dunno about 'awesome', I'm just going for 'better'. What I'm really hoping is that painting the air cleaner/valve cover/pushrod cover will then motivate me to start chipping my way through the grease/sludge/crud that has built up over the years. There's probably a decent engine in there somewhere. Anyway, the top half of the air cleaner came out exactly how I wanted it - black, with just a hint of shine to it. It does clash with the intake, though, just as I feared: I'll probably paint the base portion tomorrow, and then once the new filter element for the oil cap breather arrives in the next day or so I can get it all back together. You are going to be surprised how much "better" you are adding to it.
  15. Interesting that it is part F2TZ-1561726-A but he says it fits 1980 through '91. However, "F2" means it was designed and/or first used in 1992. It doesn't show up in my catalog. In fact, "1561726-A" doesn't show up in my catalog regardless of the prefix. So I can't say what it fits. Caveat emptor
  16. Not a bad looking truck. Not sure it is worth $5k, but maybe so. I like it.
  17. I guess I'm confused. It looks like a bumper replacement to me. What am I missing? (And I'm not going to mention that it isn't for a Stepside, but is for a Fleetside. Oh wait! I think I just did. )
  18. Correct for: 82-89 F100/150 E2TZ 1210-A Use with 15 x 6 & 15x7 styled steel wheels
  19. Can't wait to see it, Matthew! It is going to look awesome.
  20. On Aug 4th, 2017 the very first piece of what we know as the Bullnose Enthusiast's forum was put in place. And in the almost two years since we've added over 400 members, created over 5000 different topics/threads and well over 20,000 posts. In addition, those threads and posts have been view over 100,000 times by people on the internet. So, to borrow a phrase, we've come a long way, baby! In the early days there were very few of us answering questions, but now we have several people willing to help, which is excellent as I'm getting swamped trying to help, approve new users, update the website, and iron out technical problems with the forum and website. Which leads me to this: I'm going to spend more of my time working in the background on resolving the technical problems and making improvements to the forum and website, and let the rest of you help each other and provide support. (Plus, maybe get some work done on my trucks. ) But, I'll still be here if you need me, and will do my best to stay involved as much as I can. Toward that end I've now asked Bill/85lebaront2 to join Jim/ArdWrknTrk and Jonathan/Ford F834 as Administrators. (Actually, they are going to work more as Assistant Admins approving new members, moving posts, etc while I fix things that are broken. But right now the Assistant Admin role is one of the things that is broken. ) So I ask all y'all to pitch in and answer questions to keep things going. As for the things that I'll be working on, I'm keeping a list on this page: Bullnose Forum/Forum & Website Issues. And, not only are there issues listed, there are some thoughts about how to solve them. So take a peak and let me know what you think.
  21. The first one is fairly expensive for something that is already crumbling, but the second one is cracked and they want $500!?!? You can buy a newly-made one for that or less, with no cracks.
