I would be weary of the "conversion". I've seen plenty of instances recently where the C-II bracket has just been modified to fit the Saginaw pump, rather than use actual Saginaw bracketry. As long as the bracket hasn't been too mangled for the swap, that wouldn't be an issue, but it is something to watch out for.
