Panasonic CB/AM/FM Combo Head unit

Found a bit of oddball vintage car stereo gear:

I'd be interested if it didn't mean losing my line-in. A bit pricey, but it is a mostly complete unit.

That's cool, Larry.  Should work up through 84 as it is shaft mount.

Is it a 23 or 40 channel? Interesting!

Good catch. Can't tell from the pics. Just never seen a combo unit like that... and didn't think FCC would allow it? (Like how I'd like a similar but external CB and GMRS combo unit).

Good point, hadn't thought of a combo unit.

I actually had two of them, one I installed in my 1977 F150, the other went in my 1971 Colony Park (in place of the AM-8 track it came with).

Thinking on this, a combo is ok, like a CB with weather as long as you can't or don't transmit on an unauthorized frequency.
