Look at the black finish... It looks different to me; almost as if spray painted.

Probably some sort of spray on undercoating.

Looks like SEM texture coat. Someone sanded those smooth, use texture coat then painted them black with LVP and touched up the silver.

not sure how I feel about it... I don't hate the job on the radio bezel.
