Hello From Tennessee

Mastermind Worksaws
Hello fellow Bullnosers. I am the proud owner of three F350 Bulls. One is a cab and chassis 351W truck, one is a diesel 4wd Dually. Yeah....I know, 4wd F350s never came with a dually bed. It is actually a F250, and an F350 that someone grafted together. On that truck, I want to swap out the 7.3 for a 460. I need help on that.....

Wanted to post some pictures, but ain't dealing with resizing.

Randy

What part of Tenn?  We could put you on the map.

As for the pics, they'll autorotate if you don't use the resizing buttons.  But the max file size is 1Mb, so if your pics are bigger than that use the Big resizing button.

Welcome!

C&C Dually trucks came 4wd.

Resizing is easy. Use the sizing tool in the right hand column of the drop-down (Big Size)

Are you a Chimp or a Bonobo????

You are now on the map, Randy.  And I know roughly where you are.  One set of our kids used to live in Nashville and the other in Delaware so we'd leave Nashville early in the morning, stop at the Starbucks in Cookeville, and motor on.

You got the pic posting figured out.

I like the engine.  Nice and clean!

Monkey's have tails.
Great apes: gibbons, gorillas, orangutan's etc... don't.
Even though some (Orangutan's esp) don't really walk on the ground.

I'm old enough to remember the original Planet of the Apes.

I'll have to check out your site.
I like building saws.  ðŸ˜‰

Edit: I watch an older guy (Walt) on YouTube
Hilltopsawshop.
He has fettled* a lot of "kits" in his day, on top of maintaining local cutters equipment.

I'm wanting to chit can the IDI in a 4wd truck. It's a T19 transmission I believe. Hydraulic clutch. What bellhousing would I need to put a 460 in it?

Walt is a good guy. Another fella named Bob is in some videos with him once in awhile. Bob and I have done a lot of business together. He retired a few years ago from saw work....at least for the general public.

A 460 bell housing.
I sold mine when I went Zf-5 in 2011.

Walt can wander a bit.
But he's a railfan, so he's got to be a good guy.

E4TZ 7505-B is the part number you want.
Paradoxically, the number ON a Ford part is NOT the part number, it is an engineering number.

Look for one marked E4TA 7500-DA, or E7TA 7500-BA
The "stud" (7b602) is the mushroom post the clutch throw out arm pivots on....

Edit to add: they are rare as hens teeth!

I'm beginning to think I'd be better off building a C6 transmission instead...

C6's are really good at turning gasoline into hot fluid.

They're bulletproof, but no good for economy

Your choice....

Remember, if you go that way you'll need a new steering column and instrument cluster.
